I agree! Myeong Kyun still likes Young Joon, but he isn't good at reassuring other people, I think that's probably…
Totally! And I think Myeong Kyun (who's overconfident about his looks) never really swallowed Young Joon losing interest in him and we all know the more we can't have something (or someone in this case) we are interested in, the more we want it (him)...
Myeong Gyun so delusional he can't even admit to himself he is in fact romantically interested in Son Yeong Jun and I kinda feel sorry for Min Seon who seems to be already 100% invested in Myeong Gyun... Also, please protect Seung Jin at all costs, the guy is so precious I can't believe nobody is taking an interest in him :(
it's just not doing it for me, the only reason I'm keeping watching this is because I love Gem Fourth and had really liked the japanese version. Hopefully it'll get better in the next episodes, fingers crossed
It's crazy how the dynamics among the guys changed (for the worst imo) after the job/age reveal, they should try to choose guys around the same age next time, the age gap being too big (21 to 33) it's kinda understandable for the oldest/youngest guys to lose interest... (especially in SK age difference is a big deal indeed). As someone in my mid 30s I really felt Jaeseung disappointment when he found out the guy he was interested in was only 22. Seongmin was also shocked so much that he even called Jaeseung (who is closer to his age) despite having had a great date with Hwi. And the fact Seongmin later said to Hwi that the reason he hadn't called him was because he had planned to call different guys prior to enter the show it sounded like an excuse to me... the guy just brother-zoned Hwi.
I just watched the 1st episode and I already love this series and I know I'm gonna love it 'till the end just like I loved the movie, it has the same vibe. 10/10
The moment I saw him in Manner of Death years ago my BL mind immediately thought "Omg, I want this handsome guy to be in a BL as the main lead" and now he is, doing a great job!
The pace is kinda slow and not much is happening but I love seeing them being so lovely to one another, also they're a great example of what a healthy relationship looks like with them clearly communicating with each other. And the fact they're both smoking hot also is definitely a plus :)
p.s. Did they edit/add the scene where Cher and Oye talk about Thailand's Senate passing the final reading of the marriage equality law? I mean I suppose they ended shooting months ago so I was really surprised (and happy)!
As a fan of the JP version and manga I have zero complaints about Gemini's acting (those who keep saying his acting in this is bad probably didn't watch the JP version or read the manga 'cause that's exactly how his character is supposed to be (a serious, diligent, perceived as distant/cold boy who knows shit about romantic relationshps and is confused af due to his lack of experience).
If anything it's Fourth character that is not as silly/goofy as the one in the JP version/manga, but still I think that's not the issue here, Fourth is doing a decent job.
The chemistry also seems to be ok.
Nonetheless, there IS something that feels a little off but I still can't put my finger on after 3 episodes... If somebody feels the same way and has an idea about what this may be, feel free to leave a comment below. Either way I'll keep watching, it's lighthearted and it's perfect to help me disconnect from my daily life.
