I had really liked the prequels and by the end of them one would even pay (I would) to see them meet again.... and then it finally happens and this is the reaction of Nanfah? What's with that terrible reunion?! I mean, it could be okayish (somehow) If you have never seen the prequels and just started watching the series in which their 10-year separation is sorted out very quickly....
But those who watched the prequel episodes "Phupha" and "Nanfah" know that Nanfah has been looking for Phupha for all those 10 years non-stop. He kept sending him emails telling him about his daily life (crying his heart out, begging for him to reply), went to Australia every single year distribuiting flyers with his face on it asking everywhere, he's been taking sleeping pills for God knows how long (clearly PTSD symptomps), the guy's been traumatized by his best friend leaving him behind with a post-it disappearing into thin air, he literally can't stop thinking about his lost friend but when he FINALLY meets him again he doesn't even shed a SINGLE tear?! You must be kidding me...
That reunion felt incredibly cold but then again I suppose when they made the series they cosidered it as a new project not really taking into account the prequels and If you don't watch them I guess that reaction can be considered acceptable....? Also, not a big fan of the silly/comedic tones they implemented in the series. That being said, I'm curious to know what will happen between Phupha and Nanfah.
Earth Mix always deliver but for me it's Fourth Gemini who stole the spotlight, they are simply amazing together, one of the best couples out there right now imo. I really enjoyed this series, highly recommended!
I feel like had this series been released 4 or 5 years ago it wouldn't have been half as bad but nowadays there's way too many great quality BLs out there it's hard not to make a comparison... 6/10.
I wanted to wait 'till MSP ended before starting this so today I binge-watched all 7 eps. and I have to say I'm really impressed by Fourth, his performance in MSP was pretty solid but now in MC I think he even surpassed himself. The series is top tier and all actors did a great job but for me Fourth is the real deal, the whole package. We can all agree he's handsome, but he's not just a cute face, he has that special charm that draws people to him and that not many actors (people in general) have. What I find incredible is the way he acts, he's so believable in every kind of scene, whether it's romantic, dramatic or silly that I honestly find it hard to believe he's only 18. I can't wait to see him in different roles and I'll definitely continue support this young actor throughout his career β₯
I like the fact they're introducing new characters but I also want Ritsu and Masumi to have more screentime, their relationship is what intrigues me the most and there's only 3 episodes left :(
Instead of being honest and talk things out with his bf like adults do, Johnny trying to set Hai Yi up with a blind date because he will have to leave him at some point made me feel second hand embarrassment, like how old are you, 13? Did he really expect his plan to actually work? The other couple I literally skipped through their screen time, I'm sorry but their story is so uninteresting to me.
So what do you guys think will happen between Tinn and Gun in the last episode?
They will...
A) French kiss π B) Dead-fish kiss π C) Hug (again) π« D) Hold hands (again) π€ E) High five! (lol) β F) None of the above/something else (write in the comments what) π
I would love to thank with my heart all the actors who once again agreed to play as the characters that I had loved so much in the series (for me it's one of the most beautiful series I've ever watched, a masterpiece). I mean, to have a follow up with literally all the actors (main and support) considering they might have had other projects going on maybe overlapping with the making of this movie, or any other personal hindrance it's really crazy they could ALL come together once again to give us more content and I feel so grateful for it. I enjoyed the movie very much and although I didn't find it as captivating as the series, seeing again those characters made me really happy β₯
