Unpopular opinion..but I couldn't make it to the final. The male lead got on my nerves .he is sooo arrogant and cruel to the female lead who is like a puppet going after him no matter what he said or did bad things to her. The characters have zero development. I saw no difference in ML or FL behavior after many years they act and think in the same way as freshman student. Seems like this drama isn't my cup of tea.
Couldn't go past 5th episode. The plotline was boring and expected. The main couple had poor chemistry. I would prefer if the writer didn't use this old friends/lovers trope and just let the story take a normal course where the relationship progresses from friends to lovers without all those flashbacks.
It’s not very eventful to be honest.I liked the acting, but I didn't connect with the characters like I have in other slice of life dramas. Although the chemistry between the leads is 10/10, I still got bored. The dialogues and conversations were good but I felt like it was trying too hard to be overly artistic, existential, and philosophical in a slightly quirky way and instead it was just hard to relate to. There were long, rambling bits of script that I thought were just the characters saying whatever comes to mind, but without delivering much meaning to the viewer.
In contrast, I loved Our Blues as a real and raw slice of life that was genuine without being artificial or pedant. It was just real life, regular people struggling through life. I would say My Mister was artistic and deep and it worked--it was still real and relateable while being elevated with a cinematic feel.
Overall, there are better slice of life dramas out there. It only depends on your taste.
An absolute masterpiece!! Now I understand why this drama won the Baeksang Award over other good dramas like Crash Landing On You and When The Camilla Blooms. I love how every character was portrayed in a purely human way with its share of good and evil. Namgoong Min is such a versatile actor, l was shocked to know he's the same one to portray chief kim in Good Manger and Ji-Hyuk in The Veil.. very few actors could play those complete different characters with the same skill. Overall 10/10
I forced myself to complete the first episode and I couldn't advance any further. The main female character is the most creepy character I have seen in my life. She continued to sexually harass the male lead and put her hands on his chest despite his asking her to stay away from him. I am a medical student but not every abnormal mass in the body is cancer; Also, nobody have the right to examine any person without his permission, even if you are a doctor. Dropped after first episode
Am I the only one who found the relationship between the ML and the FL's sister had a better chemistry? She understood him from the beginning more than anyone else did, and he felt comfortable in front of her appeared as he is without him need to explain his personality or actions. She was always at his side, loved him silently for years, yet pushed him towards the woman he loved. In my opinion, their love story would have been more beautiful and promising if it were completed. Sadly the writer did the worst for Ji Hye's character by making her just a tool to create the tension and killing her unjustifiably without giving her a chance to show her true feelings to Hwan Ki or correct the misunderstanding.
I remember that DHS has deleted his confession from Mo Jin voice recorder in Ep 4 . So how did that detective still find it in the recorder? Did I miss something or is this a big plot hole?
The character of the ML is the nastiest& most unbearable hero I've ever seen. The FL is pathetic and annoying character has no pride& behave in a clingy way, and seems so cartoonish . The main couple have no chemistry whatsoever and their mediocre acting just made it worse. When the hell did their love story started in 1930? My overall rating is 5/10 and not even worth all the hype it has.
Woooooow the premiere of “stranger 2” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent and a peak of 8.9 percent, achieved the second-highest ratings of any Saturday-Sunday drama in tvN history, bested only by the 2018 hit “Mr. Sunshine” (which premiered to an average nationwide rating of 8.9 percent). Totally deserved
Don't judge a drama by its viewership rating. Remember Backstreet Rookie had much higher rating than the dramas…
I'm sorry but Backstreet Rookie is a terrestrial drama, while Stranger& IONTBO are cable dramas so it's normal for their rating to be lower than Backstreet Rookie.
Oh really, before you criticized her. Would you mind watch her previous dramas from painter of the wind to Brilliant…
I don't have to watch all the dramas & movies of any actor in order to judge the quality of his acting, I've watched enough and from what I've watched I did not like her as an actress, I respect your point of view if you think she is good, but I can't force myself to watch all her previous dramas, maybe I'll try some of her movies. Have a nice day ?
What other dramas of her you've watched?I think she's a great actress, I've watched The Innocent Man, Good Doctor,…
I've watched her in Good Doctor and Love Forcast and both I ended up dropping them. Also watched her in Innocent Man where her character was somewhat similar to hers in this drama by clinging on & shoving herself towards the male lead and overly acting the emotional scenes. And yes all of us have a different opinion but what's more important is to respect these differences❤.
No offense but I hate Moon Chae Won acting. This is my 3rd time watching her in a drama and still her acting dosen't click with me. I feel like she is always overacting and tends to choose roles where she pushes herself towards the male lead which turns me off. Fortunately Lee Joon Gi and the plot are good enough to keep me interested in the drama.
GOD! This was GREAT!! First time I watch Jo Seung Woo and Bae Doo Na and they are phenomenal actors and so much underrated. Han yeo jin is definitely the best female lead character I've ever seen in Kdrama. Screenwriter Lee Seo Yeon thanks for giving an intense lesson on how to write a masterpiece drama with solid plot and multidimensional characters with merits and faults like any human being. My first time to give a drama 10/10 but really this well deserved.
Frankly speaking, K-drama viewers need to stop overhyping whatever Kim Eun Sook fed them just because it's Kim Eun Sook's. I think she is testing her limits, she really must be thinking that she is a writing GOD who can do anything and people will buy anything from her. Her dramas are so overrated and many of them wind up being hits because she secures top stars. Secret garden and Mr Sunshine was good, goblin was so-so and let's not even talk about how bad The Heirs and this latest drama. Most of her dramas have very little substance. They're fun and easy to watch but the plots aren't original at all with those outdated stupid Cinderella stories and cheesy lines. Her female characters are underdeveloped and the male characters are controlling and downright creepy. Casting is what saves her dramas. The real test of her name value would be using unknown actors. Also this latest drama must be a learning lesson for her in order to stop recycling her scripts and grow up her writing.
An absolute masterpiece. So touching, so realistic, so painful and healing at the same time. Every character has a story you will definitely relate to. Maybe it's the best thing happened to me in Kdrama land.
