Lacks Emotional Depth but.... Good?
Despite my expectations, I did not receive the heartache and tear-jerker I hoped for.
The best way to describe Love & Bid Farewell is that it is a drama that has some elements of Goodbye My Princess but lacks heart. What I mean by this is that the characters and plot are intriguing, and the acting is excellent, but the emotional depth and connection that made Goodbye My Princess so captivating and memorable are missing. As a result, the story feels somewhat hollow for me as I could not form strong connections with the characters and their journeys. I think this is due to the drama being short-length, meaning it will have limited time to develop characters and build relationships. Despite all this, the series offers something appealing: its storytelling, strong performances, and how it conveys its themes, which few short-length series offer, making it stand out and worth watching even when it lacks emotional resonance.
