Ugh there was this one good OST this show had (the chill one with a girl singing?) and I'm so frustrated how it doesn't seem to be part of the official list of OST?! It's still not on the Spotify playlist, that's for sure!
Though The K2 is one of my most favorite dramas, there's no denying how the helpless-girl-act got old real quick. Yeah, she was sheltered and childish af, but that only added to the fact that her pairing with K2 didn't make sense. She was so immature, gullible, foolish, and can't think for herself 95% of the time, it almost made me uncomfortable how they liked each other. Aside from the fact that they're both attractive, there was no convincing "arc" to have made them fall for each other. I even much preferred K2 with Yoo Jin.
I was wondering why not even one of the secrets (Haeryung's identity, why Dowon was hidden + denied of marriage, Mohwa's duties, Haeryung's brother's goals, etc) have been revealed when it's already the penultimate episodes. Turns out they changed it to 40 episodes, instead of the standard 32.
So does Netflix drop the episode the very same time it does in Korea? Does it automatically have English subtitles too?
Despite the 2 main leads' less than stellar performance, I actually enjoy the story. I'm not easily put off by actors, so I will be watching this one for the plot.
Also, I hope people can stop being a hypocrite over a pretty face. Let's admit it, CEW still can't act and was prematurely given lead roles despite his lack of experience. There's a reason why Korea hates idol actors, and CEW is another proof of that principle. To people giving him leeway (subconsciously) because he's hot or an "amateur," please know better; he accepted the job.
Though I like and is still watching the show, I feel like they tried too hard with the settings and characters and such, but they really could improve on the characters' depth. Like some of the things and situations they're thrown to don't even make sense.
It's obviously not the most realistic of dramas. It did have a lot of potential--I loved the novel more and if the execution was better, I would love it too. It's not as realistic as other popular dramas like PYHOMS, My True Friend, LCDF, etc because the characters weren't given much depth.
They could have done a lot more with the plot, like focusing on the age difference and the ML's thoughts on it, the FL's online singing career (which we don't see btw), the FL's school atmosphere, etc. Instead, we're focusing on the ML's past friends (which I didn't see apologizing to him btw) which isn't that interesting lol. Though they followed it closely, the book really did better expressing thoughts from both sides.
Nevertheless, I do love the heck out of the ML. He's what I expected Gun would be. I know they're both popular in their own corners of the internet, but I hope we get to see some of those popularity on screen in their daily lives as well, especially on the girl's part (I do know there'd be a anime-gaming convention at one point).
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I didn't think it was a good idea on the writer's part to include the 2 PREQUELS in this adaptation. They should've stuck to the 1 BOOK (3rd in the series) as it's supposed to be and focused on growing the two leads' relationships & daily lives from there.
It's still very fast for me since I'm used to wait for Korean dramas.
I think she's talking about the English subtitles. Usually, when I watch C-dramas, subtitles usually come hours later through third-party sites like DramaFast/FastDrama (even faster than Viki and KissAsian) or on the official channel on YouTube.
For some reason, no one but Viki is picking up this drama, and they're not really that fast, so it makes the wait unbearable.
(((Though I would like to say, I appreciate everyone who would sub dramas for the international audience, I'm just surprised no one else is but Viki is subbing this))
SPC AND ZZ ARE TOGETHER NEXT EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was waiting for this! I stopped watching at episode 36 because I can't bear to see SPC's project & company fail. I was gonna wait till it's all resolved before I continue watching... but since they're gonna get together next episode, I need to start watching again!
Ugh. I can't handle Krystal's acting. Why does she keep getting casted. The pairing is way off. Deng Lun is a…
This was announced years ago, way before DL was this big. I think that's why it's now coming out after being shelved for years + why the chemistry is a bit mismatched lol
The chemistry between the leads is pretty amazing. I've always liked the Deng Lun & Sun Yi pairing. I think they…
I loved their chemistry in Fifteen Years of Migratory Birds soooo much even if Deng Lun wasn't popular then and he came late into the series. Because Of You was a realization of that chemistry.
i'm tired of jing ran and his mom, i don't know how much more i can takei want spc to get a happy ending even…
Ikr. I'd rather them focus on Mr. Mu's jealousy or basically whatever else than Jing Ran's mom and her sulkiness ffs. Jing Ran's such a mama's boy, I won't mind if he and ZZ breaks up next episode.
Despite being called childish, Shao Peng Cheng cares about others' feelings. He self-deprecates to make others…
Not only that, he's also very perceptive and a good judge of people. He's smart though he pretends he's not. Definitely a good ML, I wish FL would stop friendzoning him so much since we're halfway the show already lol.
