Can't blame the FL for the 10 years in the friendzone tbh. I'm not a fan of how the ML seem to make her fall in love with him over and over and get her hopes up, only for him to build a wall around himself by calling her "just a friend". Seems doormat-y.

But I liked the show overall :) OSW seems an okay actor despite being a rookie!

Any idea why subs take that long? K-drama english subtitles usually only take hours.

It's okay as show, but a bit unforgettable? Even the title tbh, i only search "Midsummer" whenever I watch it, lol.

I really like this story so far, but same concern with the chemistry. It felt like nothing when they're standing together on the screen. The FL had more chemistry with the ML's best friend than she had with the ML. How the main couple's "romance" developed was a bit too lacking, imo, I hope they delve into more about this and give us a legitimate reason to "feel" it next episodes.

I "liked" the series (quotations because it's a pretty superficial kind of like) but I agree with you lol. Song Junxi and the FL's story when they were in Beijing was interesting. The tone of the flashback was serious and sweet at the same time, something that China hasn't really mastered just yet.

Anyone else know where I can watch this subbed?

Tbh I found the storyline with the FL and the CEO of Sixinte as more interesting than the main couple, sorry.
