Could someone give me the brief update of the story with some information about all the important characters?

Any nice Empress and CSS scenes in the last two episodes?

True right. She is just 15 and not educated. She was brought up in an environment where she never got the love and appreciation a child gets while growing up. And after her parents returned, even though she has resentment she still expected that she gets the love and appreciation from them especially from her mother. She didn't get that and what she got was the constant comparison with Yang yang. CSS started coming to Palace and we can see her bonding with the Empress. And how she thinks and cares about the Empress. The love Empress is showing her is what she needed all her life. She needs time to adjust. She clearly told LBY that she will not change.

ML-FL interactions were few in the first part. Now they have more interactions and to show ML is a perfect guy for FL they might be making her character a little less intelligent compared to Part 1.
And in the first part most of the negative characters are on front foot. She can clearly understand that they are against her. But in Palace it is somewhat different, here people don't show what they are in real. They conspire from behind.

If Yuanyi actually had shown the care to CSS directly then things would not have been like this. I am Ok with her disciplining CSS but she did not do it right.
And could you tell me in the spoiler what happened?

I don't know exactly what happened but I have a soft corner for CSS.
And I feel in most of the dramas to show ML as good in everything or in most of the things they put FL down.

No, no. I like Lusi's voice. She has such a sweet voice. I am talking about childish voice of FL characters in most of the Chinese dramas.

What a drama it was right! The takeaway for me was Bai Qian's character. She was such a fresh breath of air.

What a character BQ is! And the way she dealt with Su Jin was amazing. I want to see similar characters. It can be historical/periodic/wuxia/thriller genre.
And yes even if the character is physically weak/less powerful she should still fight for herself.
And I strongly feel that ML doing things for FL behind her back actually undermines her character. It is like not giving a chance to FL to show her strength. I want both ML and FL to have their own identity.
And another thing which I can't stand is the childish voice of FL.

Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms/Eternal Love - Chinese drama

I like different genres. I watch them according to my mood. I really like TMOPB. And I like Bai Qian. Even when she was not even aware that she was Bai Qian, as Su Su she still left YH when she felt that he didn't love her. She has self-respect. Loving someone whole-heartedly is a nice thing but forgetting about self-respect and tolerating the bad treatment is not ok. Even though YH has his reasons but still she got treated badly. She waited till a point and then she left. For me TMOPB is the best drama in this genre. I always search for dramas with strong FL.

I like dramas where I can watch the love journey of the couple. I like seeing the process of ML falling in love with FL, pursuing her, FL taking time, then falling in love, their story after both of them fell in love. And I like a strong FL and I like to see her individuality. Bai Qian of TMOPB is the example of FL who has her own identity and she can put the negative people in their place without ML's help. And I like CSS who tries her level best to defend herself. She doesn't wait for someone to come to her defense. If you have an idea about similar FL characters, could you share with me?

I understand your point of view. XYY loves her child and she wants the best for her child. But the way she does things annoys me.
The military punishment scene, I get that CSS didn't back down but the mother letting her get punished was too much. She was getting beaten like that and her mother didn't even stop them. And CSS was not able to walk after the incident. We can understand the amount of physical pain she was in. That was too harsh.
Because her mother constantly compared her with YY in the beginning and put her down she now started taking YY's name. She was used to get compared with YY so now she automatically thinks about YY and mentions her name.
Honestly I don't like the fact that XYY always has to retort her daughter and hurt her. She is the mother, she needs to have some patience towards her daughter. She needs to understand the reason why her daughter mentions YY instead of retorting her. If she tried to understand that genuinely at least for once, she would understand that her daughter needs her attention which she didn't get when XYY was away and still is not getting when XYY is near.
If some one else was there in CSS's position then her relationship with YY would be in a damaged position because of the constant comparisons between them. But CSS is really nice with YY, it shows that she is a good person at heart.
I know both are at fault and doesn't back down but I still feel the mother is at more fault.
I feel that her father could have put some sense into his wife even if she doesn't listen to him. At least she will think about it at some point. He doesn't try to do it.

I agree with your analysis of LBY and CSS relationship. And I like CSS character because she did not fall in love with LBY yet. She is taking her time. I feel nice when the FL takes time to analyze and understand the possibilities of her future events before falling in love. I want to watch a FL like that. I rarely get to see a FL in this way. I didn't watch the recent episodes yet. I like the scene which you mentioned that she understood the power imbalance in their relationship. I always felt that LBY's words/actions have more power than that of CSS. She tries her level best but it is always LBY who comes to her rescue. Whenever I watch those I feel a little sad that it is difficult for CSS to come out of the situation on her own. Even though it is understandable but still I feel bad.
And I would like to politely disagree with your analysis on CSS-XYY's relationship. The way XYY dealt with CSS was not pleasant to watch. I tried to understand her mother till the point she gave military punishment to her daughter. Even though later it was clarified that she didn't actually give the military punishment but still that scene was heartbreaking for me to watch where she was getting beaten like that. She is just 15 year old and physically not a strong person to take that harsh beating. Who does that to their own child? She was stubborn that doesn't mean that her mother gets angry and let her get punished in a harsh way. And one thing that bothers me very much is that I have never seen her talking lovingly with her daughter. I agree with the comments that her mother is tough because of her military background and she tries to implement those military training methods on her daughter. But there must be a balance in her ways of discipline and love. And another thing which I agree with others is the comparison between YY and CSS. Why does she always have to compare her with YY? She wanting to take care of YY in the best possible way is nice but for that she doesn't have to compare her with CSS and put CSS down.
And another disappointment is her father. Why doesn't he put some sense in his wife? He wants to play good cop and bad cop. But can't he see that it is affecting his wife and his daughter's relationship? CSS needs both the mother's and father's love for becoming better version of herself. It is not enough for CSS to get only her father's love. I sympathize with CSS more in this drama.

Hello I actually have been searching for your recent posts to ask you something. You said that CSS created some issue because of which LBY got angry and suggested her to break up. Could you explain what she did that made him angry? I felt bad that he suggested break up because in the recent episode she clearly told him that she won't listen to him and asked him Is he still willing to marry her?
And also Could you explain the regret XY will have?

That scene was cute right. When LBY said why is she coming here, generally she doesn’t come.Then Ah Fei was like she often comes here. I want these type of scenes in part 2. CSS and Ah Fei are precious kids.
