I watched ep 1 - 18 and then I started skipping episodes. Some episodes are so draggy and you can tell it's totally using a voiceover. It's not Joe Cheng's original voice.
I don't like the main lead actress. Nie Wu Shuang just doesn't quite fit the character.
I do like the princess who falls in love with the general Mou.
Anyways, I think it's too over the top and all over the place in terms of story. Will drop this show.
I watched the first few episodes and then I watched the ending. I truly think the plot of revenge of the Hua master is truly stupid and she's died by suicide is super anti-climax. I'm like OMG how can people even follow such an evil person as a leader.

The plot in the 2020 series is somewhat better and lesser stupid good people and gods. The worse is the main character Yang Jian, who not only is stupid, but also reckless and forever lovesick.
The more I watch, the more I hate Yang Jian. Of all the Investiture of God series this is ultimately the worse one for the Yang Jian's character. All the other ones tells a much better Yang Jian.
Total disaster and blemished Yang Jian's character. I think the writer of this series is pathetic. Yang Jian or Erlang is super powerful and super smart. This show is about how stupid, arrogant, obsessive, lovesick idiot.
The only reason I'm watching the show is for Ji Fa and Lanying. Fast-forwarding everything to do with the stupid main character.

The ending is a complete disappointment. Tang Tang who once was an excellent fighter with demonic skills has become useless. NQ is like some lovesick kid all the time. This season has a pathetic storyline.
Just watched up to 14 episodes. I can't believe how dumb Yang Jian's character is.... Compared to the previous few Investiture of Gods shows, this drama made Yang Jian reckless and dumb.
I do like Wu Ji and Demon Fox....
At least Daji in this show is pretty....

It's nearing the end and I love the show. Han Dong who portrays Yan Shi Fan has really nailed it with his acting.
Ep 51 and 52 is totally heartbreaking to the core. I had a glimpse of ep 55 and it looks like another heart tearing part in it.
Yan Shi Fan is evil and nutcase. The emperor is just a total idiot for believing the Yan family and all their evil deeds. They even sold out the country's resources to the enemy and still don't get caught.
the wagon trip is really too much and overplayed. I love 3rd sister, she's kicking ass against the Xilin leader is super cool!
Chao Xiao Shu is another kickass in ep 23.
I think the empress in this season is not as pretty but she's much better at portraying the character. Poor Pipi in this season.... I hope he and Tang Tang will be together again soon...
After the lovey-dovey wagon trip of Sang Sang and Ning Que...it's definitely better. I think the chemistry between Dylan and Irene is not as good as Arthur and Irene. The new couple is too lovey-dovey and unnatural. I like the chemistry Arthur and Irene better.

I simply love DH's jealousy is so adorable....he is so irresistible. How he snatch her away from the teacher Su Mo is so cute! Su Mo was so shocked.
