Tian Qi's family were killed by orders. In order to find out the reason for her family's deaths, she goes undercover as a palace eunuch medic to investigate. She ends up serving as a medical officer in the Ji Mansion.
Looks like it's a love triangle as both the Ji brothers are in love with her. The younger brother, Ji Zheng knows Tian Qi is a girl but Ji Heng doesn't. So, I'm waiting to see when Ji Heng will uncover the truth of her identity and when Tian Qi will find out that Ji Heng is the ge ge that was always playing with her when she was a child. I do think he's quite duh for not catching the hints Ji Zheng kept dropping him.
Ding Ning's dead at the end....and he has no other student. Zhang Sun and the pathetic empress is also dead. If there's a season 2, it's probably totally unrelated.
No season 2 pls! The ending is super rubbish. Yao Di as the empress is really lousy actress. She is a really bad actress. Can't stand how she read her lines in the show, no expression and can't even do it properly. She's like churning out memorised lines.
This show is not worth re-watching. Scriptwriter needs to understand viewers are not stupid.
Ding Ning's all-powerful kungfu is his nine death silkworm but he only uses it twice in the show. Another stupid move is Zhang Sun was such a strong opponent ended up pathetically weak towards the end. Totally not convincing.
Another pathetic part is how stupid the Crown Prince of Heng was. His maid was giving him poison and he totally has no clue. He doesn't deserve to be a crown prince. Seeing how 'smart' and powerful the emperor and the empress were, its hard to believe why they would select such a dumb crown prince.
The show started well at first, then it got from good to bad to worse. Sigh, although I dislike the ending in Joy of Life season 1, the story at least made a lot more sense and is reasonable with characters' script and story flow.
Excellent drama! Coming from a traditional family I can relate to the politics and the evils of the aunts. The drama is a bit slow but the story depicts how rich families in the old days spend their days.
Qi young lord is such a useless piece of crap. He kept pursuing sixth sister and is like a spoiled child. I'm so thankful Gu Ye gave his all to marry Sixth sister. I must say that it is due to his all power and support to his wife that gives her the authority and power to do things properly.
I'm quite sure Wei Ying Luo only had true feelings for Fu Heng. Her feelings for Emperor Qian Long are not of romantic nature. She is loyal and did not betray Qian Long.
That is probably why she could refuse and ignore him so easily, unlike all the other concubines and Empress. She needed power support and the Emperor was the ideal power support she could get to initiate her revenge.
