Look at it this way. If the complication wasn't memory loss but possible death and she was told from the beginning would that stop her from taking the surgery? It wouldn't. she'd be dead either way. So why is memory loss the deal breaker? Why didn't he keep it from her when he should have told her the truth

3. Okay. Did the writers forget that she has multiple fast spreading, rapidly replicating Malignant tumours? And not one big tumor that surgery can easily fix? The side effects can be as bad as her turning into a vegetable. How is memory loss the only complication they are foreseeing?
