SCREAMING

This is such a great kdrama, I haven't had time to review every single episode but this one was a solid 10 for me, not gonna lie. The cast is great and I know the ending is bound to break our hearts and I'm so so looking forward to it.

Love triangle

Now the love triangle is almost at its peak and that's exactly what I hate, the second lead being so kind and the main lead being so, possessive ? Overall quit e good of course, and the ending was AMAZING !!

Original and unique, unlike any other

Even though this drama had some cliches, they all worked, or they were modified to fit the narrative. I love how they didn't dedicate the whole episode to the political problem and by minute 30 it had all been solved, for some people it would've seemed unrealistic but again, they made it work! There's no scene no action that didn't have it's background explanation. I didn't mind the time jump either! I was completely satisfied with this episode and it's ending, it's a very simple drama but that makes it so unique, it was very well carried out and produced and I think it deserves a solid 5 stars.

Politic side about to go off!!

[I'm rewatching this drama]I'm a Korean history major and something I've always noticed and something even my professors have said, is that fusion sageuks like this never show a good side of politics, they mainly focus on the romantic plot bc that's their purpose at the end of the day. And it's true, there are only a few I've been also able to enjoy the political side of it, and this is part of that list of dramas.Honestly, the way they carried out this episode was brilliant, instead of him actually getting his memories back or the Magistrate recognising him, they didn't go cliche and had the person who had tried to k*ll him, take him back to the palace. Genius, in my opinion. Now, of course as episodes 11-13/14ish develop, we're gonna see the two main leads struggling for each other. I can't wait.

i didn't know I could cry this much

It's just dumb how something can make you cry rivers, like this drama just ruined me forever. I could feel So and Soo's love through the screen and it was beautiful. Even if they were apart, they longed and loved each other. It just hurts that So wasn't there when Soo passed away, I couldn't stop crying, he will never see her smile again, she won't be there for him anymore. But that makes it beautiful too. Who said love was only happy endings? Of course, I would've preferred instead of Hajin remembering everything, Soo coming back to life in Hajin's body, and then meeting 21st century So, but of course, all we can do is cry and dream about it. But I liked how it ended, So believes they will meet in their next lives, and I believe so too for my sake because I won't stop crying then.

Not very convinced

First of all, yes I know it's Goryeo, I'm a damn Korean history major, but idk I still felt very weird he had to marry that girl, he being 20 and the princess idk 10? Anyway, the kiss was lovely! The fact that Soo kisses him first was even lovelier! And I'm also so so glad they're sticking to history, as So becomes the fourth King and not the third one, so Yoo being alive makes so much sense. Of course the typical cliche of historical dramas, someone holding a sword to her throat so he can drop his, but it's cute ig

Not what I was expecting

It's always very exciting to watch when a new King is announced, but I think what was more interesting is that everyone shows their true colour when it's for something they really want. Even though Soo still cares for Wook, he's only her previous love. Now we're moving onto the main relationship and I just can't stress enough how much I love So. He's such a deep character you don't know much of but at the same time you feel you know everything about him. It was indeed a very interesting episode.

True feelings

Mainly this episode is dedicated to Young realising his true feelings for Eunuch Hong, there is a deleted scene in which he even wonders if it's love what he's feeling and he's waiting for her in front of the Repentance Hall after she goes to the gisaeng house with Yoonsung. Next time they're together, he tries to push her away, rather bc he's mad at her, mostly bc he doesn't want to accept he has feelings for his eunuch friend. As the day goes by, he starts realising how much he misses having Eunuch Hong around, to the point he gets mad and angry about it.

Makes perfect sense

I can't imagine how Soo must be feeling, she's a very mature girl, but she's indeed, still a girl. It took a year for Wook to talk to her, and by that time she's already done with him, but that doesn't mean she wants So now. She's still afraid of him and she doesn't want to get involved, she doesn't want to go through betrayal three times now. Even if So's words are sincere, such a damaged girl wouldn't be able to think it through. And the ending, it was obvious something like that would happen, but I'm like crying so bye I'll continue to sob :)

Too many things happening

Literally what happened in this episode I'M SO CONFUSED. We got to meet So behind the mask and Soo realised he's Gwangjong and things get so complicated, and now I remembered what happens with the 8th Prince (it's been almost 4 years since I watched this, I mean), I can't wait to get to episode 11, WE ALL KNOW WHY

Kinda went cliche

I was kinda disappointed that it's going cliche but still the execution of this drama has been so amazing I'm not complaining. Having the male lead threatened to save the main female lead is the cliche I hate the most, but I don't mind it here because it hasn't disappointed me so far, so I'll give it extra points for that.

Fully back!

Everyone's reunited in the same place and that kind of warms my heart. I'm so glad that, unlike most dramas, episodes 12-16 are full of different scenes and different stories that it makes it hard to keep up with, but this one is kinda, yeah a rollercoaster, something will happen and then it will go back to its slow pacing, I love it!

He's coming back!!

I'm so so glad his memories are coming back and I can't wait to watch the last episode again, it was a rollercoaster of emotions or so I remember. A strong 10/10!

Back to that slow pacing?

Lots of things happened during the past episode that I feel the slow pacing is back, but that's not a problem. I'm honestly struggling to remember how the main female lead ends up in the palace and I can't remember ahh, I guess I'll have to watch and wait uwu

On and off screen!

I love how she didn't get that flustered after the kiss and that she started idk dancing when it started to rain. The romance is finally here and I'm living for it. The acting performances are very good you can actually forget they're just actors and fully enjoy the characters they are playing!
