Just wanted to appreciate Park Jinyoung’s acting here since we can all see how great Boyoung is and how we slowly forget they are the same actress.
But saw not a lot of people mentioning Jinyoung’s subtle and nuanced acting yet. Rewatching ep6 with the knowledge of the ending, there were so many places he acted like he was holding a smile or longing and loving in his eyes. The way he talks and the tone he did it was so calming and “not greasy”. The plot and the scripts from the romance in ep6 can easily turn into cliche but with his acting, it felt real instead. His expression and tone, his eyes acting are really really not “typical” in a very good way.
And Hosu as a ML character honestly is one of the best and most mature, respecting and green flag (like actually in reality not like in a drama way). He understands boundaries and can hold secrets. He made sure Gyeonggu reveals the truth to Miji but he doesn’t intervene with what’s after because that is not his place.
He also always stand up for Miji, and the “weaker” ones — he wants at least fairness, so he stood up against his boss, that school president guy, and even “Mirae” to make sure she says it’s not Miji’s fault for what happened to grandma. One of the rare kdrama MLs that actually have female friends but keep his distance and ensure she knows there’s zero romance between them but also doesn’t magically distance himself with normal social interactions. kudos for scriptwriter for writing a character that seems to be “too perfect to only exist in kdrama” but yet still feels real and with a soul that he is a real person with real personality.
He tried to confess to the boy who was the class president, but the class president was offended and shamed the…
No, the person you replied to is wrong. Miji didn’t know prior to the confession. Hosu knows. That’s why Gyeonggu said “I told Miji right away after we started dating. I was originally going to tell Miji anyway, but Hosu was so fixated on me” as in he was gonna tell Miji anyway but Hosu made sure he does reveal he’s gay to Miji so she knows the truth. After that, it’s up to Miji on how she wants to act, and Hosu has no place to intervene.
He tried to confess to the boy who was the class president, but the class president was offended and shamed the…
he did. the “ex” said “I was originally going to tell miji anyway, but hosu dead eye was keeping an eye on me” meaning hosu made sure ex tells miji the truth.
probably because he cant say no to anything? it's just his personality ig
He says no already????? did we watch the same show… first he said no to hanging out again for lunch, but knowing she really has issues with her coworker he is just helping her. he said no to her giving them a ride but because he needs to help with Miji’s lies about restaurant owner being her aunt so he lets her join. At the wedding he clearly rejected her and left. He says no to his boss for hanging out with the rich guy. he says no to his boss and quit. he said no to gyeonggu and asked him to not confess. he said no to that high school dude and continue to publicly express his anger towards him. istg we don’t watch the same show
no triangle, just an annoying 2FL trying to shoot her shot with zero chance at all
2FL wasn’t annoying at all… so far she has the best growth plot. realizing and admitting to her insecurities to both hosu and “mirae”, openly announce she was only into hosu cos he’s a lawyer at first but now realizing he’s a great person, and told “mirae” she’s gonna work for it. that’s such a good character development
Is there a drama where Park Jin Young plays someone who is giving the vibe that he is a bit strong physically…
His roles in The Witch and Miji are pretty different tho? And he acted out the nuances so well. But the real treat of his acting is in his movies. Christmas Carol (as a teenage twin, the younger brother is intellectually challenged) and Hi.5 (a villain) for example.
ok. Hosu is so spineless. dear lord. he’s cute but frustrating AF. the misunderstandings after misunderstanding…
where is spineless are we even watching the same drama lol him going right against that dude or correcting “mirae” it’s not Miji’s fault for what happened to grandma, saying no to his boss, quitting, making sure gyeonggu tells Miji the truth, he’s the opposite of spineless??? how can this comment have 5 likes do people actually don’t understand plots lol
which flashback are u talking abt? the confession one?
the guy knew he likes him and made fun of the fake couple for acting 10 years. he even joked miji acts like a man maybe he will start to like her too. he was playing around and making him confess to a girl he knew Gyeongju doesn’t like and made fun of it
She isn't that bad. She didn't pull any backhanded trick so far. A bit passive-aggressive toward Mi-Rae maybe…
I actually like her a lot after today’s episode. I found her being so openly admit her complex to Mirae, her being a contractor, and that she only started liking Hosu because he’s a lawyer at first, but then slowly Hosu’s personality really makes her starting to like him for real. and that she confessed to “Mirae” and openly tell her she’s gonna try it out and chase Hosu? that is so matured! I really like her a lot more after today
That Ji Yun is getting on my nerves. Also, why they like to make MLs in kdramas so very dense when it comes to…
he wasn’t? he was actually being quite firm tho? Ji Yun knew he thinks of her as friends and Hosu is trying not to start rumors between him and “Mirae”. I come to like Ji Yun after she confessed and told Miji why she likes Hosu and her plan to try it out. that is super matured (like Miji said).
