I completely disagree. I love how the story is flowing so naturally and the romance isn't pushed down our throats but is slowly coming into fruition. I usually skip parts without a 2nd thought but I don't skip even a second of this drama.

I like CSS' dad but the fact that he's not supporting his daughter and doesn't help with the mother's horrible behavior is making me really frustrated

What she said about her daughter is basically social death. If CSS hadn't become engaged to LBY then she would simply be unable to marry, she would be constantly laughed at and become an outcast with no chances of redemption. Her mother is an awful character.

I couldn't have said it any better myself! This is exactly what I was thinking! She humiliated her daughter in front of a huge crowd of some very important people a bunch of whom have laughed at and bullied her daughter. I don't even care what her goal is. No matter what "justification" she had, what she did is simply inexcusable. I've said it before and I'm going to say it again css's mother is an irredeemable character. There is literally no way to redeem her character!

It's very simple... You can't. No matter what her goal is, in every situation she always underestimates and degrades CSS. Yes, she was trying to "help" her daughter (idk in what universe making your own daughter seem worse than garbage is helping her) but from her words and actions one can see how little she thinks of her... and the worst part is that she's not faking it... she legitimately believes that her daughter is trash... No way is she worthy to be a mother.. especially to CSS...

I just wish they stop this rising trend of making kdramas longer with more seasons, when it's not needed. Most of the times it's completely unnecessary and it just makes the story draggy, boring and tiring. What I first loved in kdramas is that they always had an ending. I've watched a lot of series getting cancelled after a couple of seasons, without wrapping up the plot and at times ruining some of my favorite character as a means to keep things going and it was very disappointing.

CSS is clearly confused about love, especially love between a couple, which is to be expected from the way she grew up. The first healthy relationship she observed was that of her 3rd aunt- 3rd uncle. Without knowing any other "healthy" couples with different dynamics as an example it's normal for her try to replicate theirs. Also I feel like CSS is trying to get away from her cold and harsh Mom and Grandma through this marriage. Although I agree with her mom's intentions her means are simply terrible at disciplining and educating CSS, not to mention extremely toxic... For the life of me I don't understand how she simply brushed off everything CSS did as "luck".... She consciously refuses to see anything positive in her daughter, that is a very unhealthy mindset, which is justifiably ruining her relationship with CSS!

Unfortunately her mom is not expressing her love in a healthy way so it's understandable that CSS is very defensive toward her
