Maybe its a coincidence or maybe just happens that people of certain region dont like the genre or the execution or the storyline itself. From my personal perspective on audiences universally, in Brazil, youth/school dramas/puppy love and cute stuff, is not their cup of tea, so maybe thats the reason

Oh i see. I think the "original" Sol is clueless and continues her life as she was supposed to in the first place. The problem is with the others who know, the ml and 2ml. They have to carry on pretending that nothing happened. Sol has no reason to be confused

In his friend's hometown, they are already adults so even if you dont like minors having s*x, its ok cause they are already in their 20's (it looks like they alreday did it in ep 12)

Well, that is a major plot hole in almost every time travel show. As far as i can remember, only in Tomorrow with you, the time traveller happens to meet himself during his past trip with tragic consequences. In terms of "logic" (the shows logic), your past self does not exist while your current self is living in the past.
As for the other plot holes which are often many and never get answered, we just have to digest them, considering the fact that we are just watching shows for entertaining purpose and not some Nolan's film where physics and other scientists build the "scientific" part (even Nolan's projects have their plot holes)

Romance genre (esp the youth tag) attracts mostly the audience that wants to have fun watching pretty people doing nonsense things and escape reality. Its ok as long as everyone is aware of what he/she is watching.
I ve got my guilty pleasures too as i keep follow some idols works though i know that if i want a really good show, they re not goona give me one.
But the audience that watches good quality shows is still out there (and here). Under the tag "Mature" there are top shows but of course not that hyped since the age group here is not that old . Of course im talking about the romance genre

JDramas are quite controversial in many aspects. 1st of all, everyone, literally EVERYONE, westerns in europe and hollywood, chinese and koreans, have copied jap manga stories and we all know the reason. BUT, jap themselves, keep coming up with taboo stories and talk about them in the open, which can be shocking for many.
Plus, jdramas and movies, can be of really bad and low quality in terms of production, direction, props etc but you can find real jems. Ive searched and still searching jdramaland and its hard cause they are not that popular so to be subtitled massively. My list of all time fav dramas come from Japan and they are not even considered as decent productions lol

In all time travel stories, there's a certain tragedy that occurs and the hero goes back and forth to fix it. It may be a killer, or an accident, or a simple sequence of events that dont have the ideal income for the story, thus the time travelling is the only option so to fix things. In LR, i liked the 1st storyline where the ML is supposed to have committed suicide. I d love it if there were only mental issues that she had to "Fix" going through their lives and their choices again and again.
I d also love it if he could also time travel esp if it was shown that he was the one that time travelled first and we learn about it in the last episode (which may be the case-though i doubt)

Leaving aside LR, you open a HUGE subject for conversation that applies to literally every show be it drama or movie everywhere in the world. If i count only the romance shows/movies ive watched (western and asian ones), the top quality ones, not the most popular or the "fangirling" quality ones, i can think of hm...not even 5, where the main couple consists of 2 not attractive (not even that young) people.
The reason is quite obvious. Both here and on imdb, yes in 2024, i still read comments full of sexism, ageism, appearance-shaming, as if in real life, people less attractive, dont deserve or dont even dare to fall in love and get a partner. Its 100% superficial and of course has nothing to do with reality.
Even in tv shows with the tag "youth", can we please remember how we looked back then in our 16-18? As far as i remember, we were at least looking like ugly freaks hahhahaha
There's no way everyone looks that perfect during that age. Non shaped bodies, problematic skin, ugly makeup and general grooming.
The few movies/shows ive watched, where the main couple was not that young or that attractive, had top notch acting level and many other good qualities and of course they were targeting certain group of watchers.

No matter what people of showbiz do, their work cant be compared in any aspect with yours or with working people in education. The main criteria is this: we can live without them but we cant even survive without you. Simple as that

I see what you mean, but on the other hand, he is not that persistent as a character. I mean he is quite sensible when it comes to his carreer path despite his young age. I'd be ok if that was the case in some dramas with a logical reason behind it (and there are some where the virginity makes sense), but i ve got a huge problem when the industry clearly targets women-esp young ones-and present such ideal males, i find it very superficial and sad. In many cases, they even show the FL with horrible hairstyles and clothing or clumsy as hell, so to point out the perfection of the ML who turned to look at a girl so ouf of his league.

Because humanity cant appreciate and set the standards of true human values. Your job (in my language your job and some other ones have also another word, meaning: "social valuable work-kind of sacred". So your job -including everyone from doctors to nurses to anyone that works in health aspects, is or should be considered as no1 for humanity and the people who work on that, should be the highest paid and respected ones. I d put teachers (of any level of education) after you in 2nd place.
But in capitalism, every value depends on superficiality and money. Whoever brings more money is the most successful and respected.

More or less, these are the exact points that bother me too. Funny thing is that i was just about to watch Someday or one day and i just started LR for fun. Im thinking about dropping and go and watch som.or one day as i planned.
The thing that annoys me the most is the one dimension characters. I understand that making a drama of 16ep with multiple going back and forths to the past and present is already very complicated and takes to much screen time by default, but sadly i ve watched too many time travel rom dramas, eg if i compare it with Tomorrow with you, hm, the comparison is not even there. Still i admit that the whole cast gives their best in terms of acting, and the storytelling has only some minor plot holes (that may be fixed until the end)

Its not about sex. Its about dating. Esp since he was an idol. We all (or at least most people) know the kind of lifestyle idols have, there are even private fan clubs not only for cheerleading purposes.
But leaving aside sex, to not have a serious relationship its ok, many things are left to fate after all. But to not have the slightest dating history...ehm no. And my point was mostly because that thing with 30+ virgins is a weird stereotype in many many many kdramas

Its not a matter of being decent or not. It would be if they had a relationship and he was committed to it. Plus, my point was that this virginity thing of that age heroes, is a norm in kdramas and where is a norm there is a stereotype-esp when the norm has nothing to do with reality. More than half of rom kdramas, also follow that certain stereotype and i just dont get it.

I didnt discriminate or offend disabled people-on the contrary-i tried to justify the writers by saying that i can get it if the girl didnt have any romantic life not only because of her disability but also because of her general situation -the time she needed to adjust to her new life etc (and thats the exact word i used-situation). Yes its weird to be 34 and not having dates in your life and thats the norm in many MANY kdramas. Its not an exception or a thing we see in 1-2. Its the norm.
As for the current drama, yes, his friend said so, that he hasnt dated anyone. Sorry, its not realistic and when you tell a story, no matter the fantasy elements, you have to convince people that it could be true. And in the majority of the world these days, to be 34 and virgin is not reality-its the exception.

I wonder, who was the genius who first thought: "lets make 100000 kdramas with 30+ yo virgins and serve this great idea to the audience repeated over and over again".
And i can see the FL's point for not having any kind of dating cause of her situation.
But the guy...ehm, its weird, its non realistic and serves no purpose at all in any of the dramas ive watched.

Then its the make up, the lights, or even the skin smoothing filters. Under the "daylight" shots he looks weird-on the contrary, in low lights he looks fine
