In the novel, he revealed it during the Hando Steel battle. There is a lot changes from the novel to the drama since they are trying to make DJ more sympathetic. They gave him more familial attachment to his old life, which he didn't have. In the novel, the grandpa didn't hate on the youngest family like he does in the drama, which may explain the difference

In the novel, HW no longer existed and changed it for a girl. In this adaptation, he still exists

How is he morally bad? Everyone has incentives that drives their decisions, especially in business. His decision to save the employees was a bad business decision, but an altruistic one, even if the main motivation was a selfish one.
