This drama is just so irritating and disappointing to me at this point. For the last time, I legit wanted a healing drama; my expectation was a calm, slow-paced, slice of life, relaxing drama like When the Weather is Fine before the last few eps or A Piece of Your Mind. Sure there would be some conflict, like those two had, but toned down since it's 12 short episodes. But instead I got a reminder of why I hate love triangles. I faintly knew there would be a love triangle, based on the posters, but I didn't know it'd be this bad and this unpleasant.
Plus, I don't mind slow burn romances but there's no chemistry here and honestly the will they, won't they aspect is annoying and angsty instead of fun and interesting. Every time SML smirks or the two of them get into a cringey face-off, i want to turn off the screen and watch something else honestly. Plus, they really had to bring in the ex as if hitting the childhood friends and orphaned leads cliches wasn't enough. What next, one of them is going to get amnesia too?
I want to drop but I'm already gotten this far. Might as well finish and get it out of my life.
i can't wait to watch this. from the trailer, this jdrama looks.. expensive. like it has a higher budget most others. and wow the cast, even Hiyori is in this!
for EP. 7, why did they not show ML telling FL he remembers her now, at the lake? the whole episode, I was so confused what really went down between them, it felt like there was a scene missing everytime they referred back to that conversation.
anyways, it's still so dumb that's it such a big thing that ML doesn't remember. there's no reason for him to ask forgiveness from FL. he was a kid back then, it was years ago, and one of the most traumatic experiences of his life. it's ridiculous that FL is so annoyed about that lol.
Also, I don't like how the episodes keep getting longer. I was promised short and sweet 30 min episodes of a healing drama. So far it's just been a drama that's been low-key annoying that gets progressively longer. I'm struggling to continue, I'm a little bit disappointed.
I think the writers of Good Job and this one need to realize that there's a diff between being a strong woman who doesn't take anyone's shit and just being actively mean for no reason. At least in Good Job, the ML is an arrogant jerk so I don't feel too bad when FL roasts him. Over here, In-yul is dropped into a different way of life all of a sudden, dealing with situations he doesn't have experience with, and has his privacy invaded. He was also totally right about the dog and I don't think he was proposing letting the dog go around killing the chickens. So the FL just comes off as being needlessly mean.
The man thought his grandpa was on the verge of dying so he literally left his job and home to come back. He's not used to dealing with such large animals I'm guessing or living in the countryside after such a long time. He's tired and covered in mud so why would he be happy to see uninvited guests in the form of those Stepford Smiler, "we're all one big family" type aunties?
