Watching so many idol dramas with brightness cranked up to 11, it's so refreshing to see people on screen with…
That's what I dislike about modern cdramas and kdramas - all is bright and shiny and clean, from the sets to the cast. Everyone on screen is so super white and completely flawless, it doesn't seem "natural." That's what I like about jdramas, in that even though everyone is super attractive ofc, at least they seem to go a little easier on the makeup, so they look a little bit like people you'd meet IRL.
"Pachelbel's Canon in D, even if it is a bit cliche to use it in romantic content."hahaha this i swear ive heard…
Not just Japanese movies or dramas - if I got a cent for everytime Canon in D was played in anything romantic, all over the world, I'd be a millionaire XD
One thing I have to say - it was nice to hear someone speak Hindustani in an Asian drama. I always feel so validated when I see fellow South Asians in foreign shows or movies XD Ali, his wife and coworkers spoke perfect Hindustani with the right accent (even if the dialogue was occasionally a little stilted, as it someone was using a dictionary to write it)
Finally finished this and... This drama is almost nothing like AiB except that they're both in the survival genre, very graphic in terms of violence and sexuality, and similar themes about the human condition. I like SG, but not as much as AiB tbh. It got a little bit repetitive towards the end - there's only so much blood, death and gore you can watch before darkness-induced apathy kicks in. Still, I enjoyed it and I look forward to the next season. Off to watch As the Gods Will Now.
