This is one of the best Japanese movies I've seen and definitely one of the best manga adaptations, so I don't get the negative reviews. I didn't see the original manga or whatever but I simply loved the movie. A simple story but with lots of chemistry and a warm, wholesome vibe. The cinematography was simply gorgeous, excellibg even usual Japanese film standards. The acting was great, the entire cast did great. The romance was so cute too! 10/10 from me.
I don't know about his filmography but he is such an asshole in his private life
Sorry, when I made this comment, I was a bit mad and this was probably unwarranted. But essentially, he cheated on his longtime gf with a TV reporter and then made a needlessly gruesome movie about how all of his critics were actually mindless zombies.
Getting subbed by someone whom you don't like 🤣
They always keep taking on projects and end up working on dozens of movies and dramas all at the same time. I appreciate that they're doing this for our own benefit but this means that we have to wait for months on end for a single drama or movie to be completed, by which point you lose all interest or motivation. Also, while they take a long time to work on something, other people are discouraged on taking on that project and finishing it faster. This has become more common nowadays, I don't think they were like this before. Or at least, they completed Konokoi at a reasonable rate.
It's getting very melodramatic and angsty right now lol so the original audience for this drama should give it…
I feel like all the current tragic romance fits better with the posters and the song and the overall vibes of the promo material. Don't get me wrong, I liked the darkly comedic aspects from the earlier episodes but now I feel like they should have cut down on some of those elements and focused on the makjang/thriller/revenge storyline/whatever is going on rn from the very start
