Someone else said that My Blood and Bones in a Flowing Galaxy is similar. idk about that but it was a really good movie.

I was on board with the movie and I was really liking it but after Takumi rejected Naruse, I lost all interest. Nito literally dumped him bc of his parents' divorce bc she was embarrassed and pushed him away. Plus, I feel like Takumi and Naruse had a deeper bond bc of what they each went through, they had more chemistry together and the first half & more of movie focused on their interactions... Idk, I didn't like the endings and the pairings they went with...

I would say that this is a bit more slower but more straightforward than Bad Kids but still a very enjoyable watch atleast imo similar dark vibes too

Frankly, I loved this movie and felt it lived up to the trailer but I also liked how, basically, it was quite straightforward despite the odd quirks here and there! And, yes, I need to find out more about these film festivals lol

There's one kiss scene after they grow up and find each other again. First half doesn't have any violence but lots of intense, mean bullying scenes. Later, during the film's climax, there is a *very* bloody, violent scene. It's not really a happy or sad ending, it was bittersweet and I was happy with it. Do you want me to spoil you on what happens?

yes, the casting for the younger actors is spot on. younger Seichiro looks exactly like he might grow up to be older Seichiro, if that makes any sense XD

Such a wholesome drama but with some so sad moments. I felt so bad for that kid Kazuya and even Kotaro's teacher has such a traumatic story. I hope Mizuki comes back next episode!

Yeah, first few episodes are weird but it gets much better. It has its own unique vibe.
