As for the other thing, I had your complaint about the original. For all the good acting, cinematography and production value, the kdrama just felt like it was lacking something so I dropped after a couple of episodes. This seems like a more compelling watch to me.

I kind of agree? Mio really looks a bit too pretty? I think they cast an actress who is a bit young to play the mom, it would have made more sense for an actress in their late 20s or early 30s. Then again, some people do get married young, like Mio, and sometimes even the most busiest moms take care of their appearance.

Imo, that's one of the benefits of jdrama adaptations. There's less chance of dragginess, especially in this case. I found the original kinda slow but I'm liking how this version is very fast paced.

I didn't want to be mean but you're completely right. He looks like a normal person but both of the women look like supermodels. I don't get why they fell for him tbh - in this version, they removed the part where the ML stood up for the FL when they first met, so it makes it harder to understand why the FL even liked him in the first place.

Yeah... he got over the loss of his kids really fast, huh...
