I was really reluctant to resume this drama, but once I started EP. 4, I ended up binging all the way to EP. 6 lol. I don't even like saeguks usually but this is so good, the writing is amazing

I'm glad she's finally falling for him bc the love square was wearing on me. We def in for a super depressing ending, but at least their love story is cute

EP. 6 kinda dragged for me, as usual with Joseon politics. Just a bunch of old men wailing nonstop for the king to save his precious blueblooded ass. Meanwhile soldiers and peasants get slaughtered over minute political differences. Glad that doesn't happen anymore.
Also, I must say this drama does subtly illustrate the caste system in Joseon society very well.

It got so dark. Remember when Gilchae cried bc she robbed a dead body? Can you believe the same girl let refugees get slaughtered and enslaved? I still think they could got more ppl on that boat, there was def space for that woman and her baby at least....
