This is pretty interesting so far. I love how gritty and grimy it is - the characters too. Everyone feels much more shady and dangerous - it's a proper adventure with a group of criminals.
I also appreciate that they shot a lot of it on beautiful locations - it always helps when it doesn't all look like greenscreen.
It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since The Lost Tomb...
Yeah, I guess I don't mind another adaptation, this looks cool.
(also as others pointed out - I'm noticing some pretty far-ahead foreshadowing for the rest of the series. I guess them doing it now after all the other seasons have already been made makes it feel like a larger saga, they know the audience will recognize the winks.)
All in all this feels so cozy to me, like a nice warm blanket on a stormy night.

It's insane they're doing another one after South Sea Wasteland, but that only makes me more curious. (I imagine SSW wasn't very successful - you can tell from how I'm the only one to write a review for the thing.)
But hey, only way to go is up, maybe?

I think they're auto-translated. There's a quick warning flashing when you start playing an episode, something like "AI subtitles" or similar.

English subs on WeTV for this are real bad, huh? Borderline unwatchable.

In some chinese comments under the trailer, and then later in an article on a cdrama news-site. It's speculation, but people are noticing that we've apparently missed the late summer release window these show have hit in previous years.
That, and the fact there's been zero updates officially.

I posted it, because this show is mostly praised here despite being bland and forgettable. Great that the fans enjoy it, sure, but the page really doesn't reflect the reality of it being mediocre.
It's difficult to find actually good shows, because superfans hype up any garbage if their favourite actors are in it.

If anything, it's insane how quickly people started commenting. What are you hovering on this page 24/7?

It's really not, I was just annoyed by the show.
