Drama couldn’t show the rebirth plot due to China’s laws so they had to work around it. Because of this they did change things but they kept to the essence of the novel and the important bits even if out of sequence. Unlike the author’s other two adaptations this one is not supposed to be about revenge. The novel’s theme was about the FL moving on, healing and living her life. It was a good adaptation and an excellent stand alone drama if you judge it by itself. The casting was well done and the plot was fast paced. I love the main leads and their acting. Hope to see them again in a new show soon! Will definitely rewatch!
