I've watched almost every Xianxia out there and all of them are so painful to watch and yet so sweet at times. I'm addicted. I'm a masochist lol. Some of them were extremely tragic and got engraved in my memory. But I keep watching 😅

I've met some more Greeks here on this page but we're only a few. In my country (besides Netflix with some K dramas) there is no knowledge about Asian dramas at all. I don't find him appealing either. I never thought he would be in an other Xianxia after "the legend of the white snake". But I'll try to watch this one. Who knows .... maybe I'll like it due to the plot , or due to Dilraba's performance. He must be talented I guess. I've watched other Historicals with him like Autumn Cicada , One and only, Under the power and even some Raw episodes from The Glory of tang dynasty. Sadly I never found him appealing as a ML and he failed to impress me on any role But that's only my personal opinion and nothing more. I hope this drama will go well on viewership. I'm sure all the actors and the production team worked so hard for this.

Some dramas follow the novels , some others don't. Personally I only care about the final result, since I'm not a novel reader. I really hope this drama will get released as soon as possible and be good and buzzworthy. As for the summaries it could all be inaccurate or the drama is completely different from the novels. According to Viki's summary , they both coming from two enemy Tribes. When they met and fall in love that was considered forbidden and insulting. Su Mo whom was just a prince back then , got imprisoned and expelled from the realm. Bai Yin was desperate and under pressure from her strict father (a powerful god). Without any way to help Su Mo , she commited suicide in order to show everyone that "hate" isn't a right way of living. Her suicide left her father in despair. A 100 years later Su Mo became the Sea emperor . He also found a way to resurrect her body. But her memories wasn't there sadly. He kept loving her and protecting her but the "amnisiac" Bai Ying was scared of him since they were from enemy tribes. To make things worse , the war is about to begin again and Su Mo needs to free his enslaved tribe . But that brings him against Bai Ying and her tribe and makes it even harder for her to trust him. And he also has some other issues to deal with but I won't say more. Viki's summary reveals too much I think. I'll definitely gonna watch it. I love Xianxia dramas and if the writing is good and the production invested a lot of money , then we gonna have a great show to watch !! The book is a bestseller for years now in China and is full of stories of side characters etc. Second male lead Zhen Lan ( played by Zheng ye Cheng) has also a great story himself. From what I read , he is a very tragic character. He's been unfortunate since birth. His mother got murdered and his father (an emperor) doesn't even care for him. He always smiles and he's positive as a person (but only to hide his pain and depression). When he fall for Bai Ying he only "gained" more pain since she never loved him back
I'm not a fan of anyone, but i like XINXIA and i'm in drama slump hope it fills some parts of itplease be good,

Yu Zheng has never produced a good drama. All his works are mediocre as hell.
