I'm at ep11 so far and I really like it. It has a tragic type of romance and it's very dark but the plot is intriguing! It also involves supernatural aspects . The main couple has a very tragic fate. I wish the ending will be good for them since they've great chemistry together. For those who complain about the acting, I consider it.... Good.
I've watched so far around 70 dramas the last 2 years (historical or modern / political or rom-comedies , whatever you can imagine , Chinese and Korean ..... .and I see nothing wrong with the acting here. Actually I dare to say that I like their acting ! Just the production has a little low budget since it's a Taiwanese drama , but they invested their money in a right way and it doesn't give a bad impression nor it looks cheap in any way. I know you're absolutely right about the horrible acting and her annoying personality. Mu Jian never actually did something truly admirable. Only in the first few episodes she defended some slaves and that was it. Nothing more. Jin Xue on the other hand is also a weird personality. From being 100% naive and silly after the rape tragedy she became the exact opposite. Completely cruel and ruthless. Fei Bai from being an obedient "good boy" for his possessive father, now he has become a rebel (----and maybe an eye liner rebel too..... xD For once in his life ,he wants something and he fights for it (Hua mu jian) .I'm not quite sure why anyone whould want her though. Maybe the too much make up caused him some brain damage. Anyways I wanna see how this drama will end since I started it. It has huge flaws but it also has some aspects that I like. What the f@ck I swear I'll could kill her hahah. I know it is a love triangle but ....come on....pick up one guy already. The writing in this drama is horrible. The first 2 episodes were amazing and then when the writers decided to keep it as a love triangle until the last second it became so irritating. Im at ep30 (15 basically) and she keeps saying to both guys she loves them. Personally I'm team Kim So Hyuk but even if she would choose the other guy I wouldn't mind at all. It is what it is. What irritates me is her damn inability to choose only one of them !
Not to mention that the director and production team completely failed to portrait in a convincing way the reincarnations. I mean, the one second main characters were themselves and then a ridiculous headache happens to Kim so Hyuk , a mini heart attack to Sa bin , the other poor dude took a bullet in his head (and recovered miraculously in just half a day) and BOOM reincarnation. And then all of them needed just 3 minutes to adapt being in 2020 ! And all of them were fine with this shocking event as if they time travel every day. As if it's normal and it doesn't change their lives at all !!

I'm at ep 32 atm. So far Jin Xiu (purple eye girl) has taken her fate in her own hands. She's very strong , independent , she killed the guy who raped her (that happend around ep18 if I remember correctly). After that she became Hua Yuan 's concubine (Fei Bai's father) in order to gain more power. She also started to avenge whomever tried to harm her. For example when the former wife of Hua Yuan tried to bully her ,Jin Xiu threaten her with a knife lol. Overall Jin Xiu from being a "crying babe" now has become the opposite. At the moment is very cruel and she doesn't hesitate to kill or threaten to take what she wants. Sima jiu (fei bai's twin brother) loves her very much. So far though she doesn't know he exists. I don't like this sister , I prefer Hua Mu Jin to be honest , but I have to admit that Jin Xiu is also very strong and even cruel despite starting as a naive person. She even stabbed Fei bai in the shoulder with a sword when she thought he harmed Mu jin (which he actually didn't. It was a misunderstanding but it showed us how fearless Jin Xiu has become)

At the wedding day Sima jiu (the twin brother of Fei Bai) replaced his dead brother in the marriage ceremony and married mu jian and also got the throne. However, after they got married she learn the truth that fei bai already died and that she married his twin instead.... so she ran away and stayed together with duan yue rong. But she was pregnant at that time with the original fei bai. So in conclusion our couple didn't have a happy ending but a very sad one.

I'm at ep10 atm. The drama is mediocre. I find Xue Zhi's character very naive , boring and without personality. ( not yukee's chen fault. It's due to bad writing). The plot makes me fall asleep. BUT I'll watch every second of this drama until the end because Leo Luo is god damn gorgeous in here.❤ I just hope that the plot will improve. Many wuxia need some extra time for the actual plot to start , so I've hopes it might actually get better. I wanted this drama to be good because Leo Luo and yukee are main actors but sadly... so far it's boring af. Only the 1rst episode was interesting.
