First drama I saw him in was "I Can hear your voice " but I didn't really pay attention to him, later I watched…
But VIP confirmed that he can excel in negative roles as well. Not everyone can pull off duality / grey characters and downright menacing masks in mainstream easily...
Even the Undateables? I thought it was a train-wreck. Even he couldn't save it.
That one was a train-wreck. But man showed how a good rom-com ML can still hard-carry a whole lousy drama. And man looked every bit the part. 😇 always delivers
are dramas an accurate representation of reality? no are dramas an accurate representation of the ideal? no no one is entirely good or entirely bad. but characters usually are modelled around real people/actions/situations. then why do we hold all characters to lofty ideals in that case?
any way to watch eps 59-67? can't track these on viki/youtube/wetv/kissasian/dramacool/kisskh/myasiantv... is there a different name by which to search? someone please help!
Imagine Hui and Jay being selected in top 9. The group would be vocally talented and cannot imagine the power…
their styles are different but they'd harmonize so well. In fact, they'd bring versatility of range into the group.... and it's always a great idea to have a composer/producer in the group (like Suga and Woozi if you get the drift) ah well. it was a talented top 18 this time... Jong Yoo, Park Han Bin, Seung Eon, Keita and Jay are outstanding as well.
Maybe a big group like Seventeen could've been the goal... imagine the sub-units! endless possibilities!
no one's talking about Hui / Lee Hoe Taek... :( there was none more accomplished and naturally deserving to be in the lineup. 2 out of 9 even mentioned him in their speeches! amidst all the people to be thanked through tear-stained minds at such a juncture is a testament to how much he's been a pillar to these young'uns. He could've come on to the show as a Master as well tbh!
Hui / Lee Hoe Taek Park Gun Wook Chen Kuan Jui Jay Chang Han Yu Jin Kim Gyu Vin Zhang Hao Seok Matthew Sung Han Bin --------- Haruto Ollie ------ my top 11, after episode 1, based on screen time and talent shown. ----- still can't wrap my head around Pentagon's Hui being one of the trainees. he can be both Star Master and Star Creator for all I care. I started following Pentagon after watching Kingdom and while the group is great, the only one I was constantly drawn to was Hui. Such an accomplished musician!
I saw a tiktok from a Korean saying his build (he is the shortest of them) is not up to the Korean standard.
i realized in the last episode the stark difference in his build compared to the others. hmm. but the others are really tall. model-like. I can understand why the really tall women might not be interested... but he's still cute :) Se Jun is also giving chill vibes. I like how non-toxic the environment is right now really. They've all kind of become quite friendly :)

oh really? but that also makes him the most relatable and realistic of them all ! I mean the average S.Korean male height is 5'9", right? (wiki-source) and it's not like he's shorter than the girls... anyway, I suppose to each their own. my personal opinion is there's a lot more he seems to bring to the table than what he doesn't.
I don't get why Han Bin is not more popular. the man radiates positivity, defuses awkward settings, is fun to be around, listens well, and cooks! (also looks like a cross between Nam Joo Hyuk and Kang Ki Young :P ) Seo Eun is the best of the women. DEX looks cool though... the typical bad-boy image.
I'm wondering why this drama is still at an 8.3 rating here... even if Kim Hye Soo ssi is literally carrying the whole drama on her back, it is still deserving of at least a 9 rating. the king is also contributing, the queen dowager makes for a lovely villain and while the princes get little screentime, everyone's personalities are starting to come through. I wish I hadn't jumped the gun and waited to binge-watch it like I usually do... but this one is a kickass drama!
ML - Nam Joo Hyuk / Choi Minho / Park Jin Young / Nam Yoon Soo
