When the dad asks Shi De; "What have you done to my son?"...Is he referring to how hopelessly in love Shu Yi is…
Seems the scene where ShiDe was on the bed with the dad yelling might be 5 years later. Cuz I noticed by their hair. ShiDe has hair parted to the right after 5years, while in the past he had straight bangs over the forehead. While ShuYi has bangs parted to the right in the past, but 5years later he has his parted to the left.

Just my guess, the Dad is mad they got back together even though ShuYi seemed so angry and heartbroken before but still gave him a second chance.

Shu Yi's dad actually finds out about their relationship before Shi De even leaves. He finds out in episode 5…
Shu Yi's dad got the info about his son is in love in ep6 near the end, but he probably would be suspicious about weather it's for real until he saw it with his own eyes. That's why I think he had to witness their relationship when ShiDe comes back after the months. However, yea, the numbers of hours they are apart makes things confusing. Unless, the special episode coming soon is about how the dad find out about them before ShiDe left for America, and the ending of episode 6 was just them trying to play it cool. But really, everything is in suspicion.
On We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd Feb 17, 2021
Gosh the MV and season 2 trailer gave me a whiplash.

From what I gather from ShiDe and ShuYi's dad conversation, my theory is that ShuYi's dad finds out about their relationship after ShiDe comes back from America. The dad probably gets ShiDe alone and tells him his son is not serious about him, "it's just a phase". He also questions ShiDe's worthiness to be with his son.

ShiDe starts internally questioning ShuYi's feelings for him as well. Then he starts testing ShuYi's feelings for him, but it backfires. They somehow separate for 5 years, only to come to realize ShuYi was serious about him and tries to win him back.

It's kinda sad that people are dissing Hyun Jun's acting for Yoohan as robot acting. But oddly, if we take into context that his character was born face blind all his life, it'll make sense. He's not able to recognize faces, which show facial expressions and emotions on them. And if he can't recognize them it'll be hard for him to express them himself unless someone taught him meticulously. This could explain why he acts/sound robotic.

However, in acting standards, he does need more lessons. And as a newbie, the director should had been responsible for guiding him better. Hopefully, if there is a second season he'll get more guidance, cuz the last part of the story, if they stick to the novel, had a lot of skinship and action driven moments.

The drama is so amazing. Can't believe next week will be the season finale already and we have to wait a whole month for season 2! T_T

!PREDICTIONS! *non-spoiler*
So while we wait, this is my prediction for the season finale leading up to season 2. Shi De's mom very quickly finds out about his son's relationship with Shu Yi (mother's intuition). She wants to be supportive but she also thinks it's going to be harder for her son to successes in life, which seems to be something very important to her (judging from their dinner conversation previously). But she won't force them to break up or make Shi De go to America (hopefully).

However, Shu Yi's father is going to be the big problem. Forbidding his son to be with a man. Shu Yi will fight with his father about this. The father will try to buy Shi De away with money. Shi De will be offended for being looked as a gold digger. The father will belittle Shi De for his lower social class and lack of wealth, not being good enough for his son, etc. Maybe even threaten with violence.

Shi De ultimately decides to move with his mother to America to make something of himself, to be rich and successful (which apparently is harder to do in Taiwan?) to prove Shu Yi's father wrong. While he and Shu Yi continue to keep a secret long distance relationship.

But eventually, Shi De gradually lessens his contact with Shu Yi to develop is career in America. And they eventually kinda/sorta unofficially breaks up.

Then 5 years later Shi De finally returns to Taiwan as a cold harden but successful business man. He tries to reconnect with Shu Yi, whose trying to run his own business without his father's help, who also hopes his son fails so he can marry him off to a rich man's daughter for business transactions, or to save the family business. And some how Shi De comes to the rescue in the end.

This just my headcanon of what the future holds for season 2.

I find it rather interesting that none of the Korean BLs overlap each other in their airing. They always seem…
True, it's as though they have a group chat asking when everyone is airing their BL drama so they won't overlap or take each other's promotion or spotlight time.

I am seeing some people complain about the kissing scene being too stiff, and while I particularly prefer more…
Agreed. I doubt anyone had an an amazing first kiss as a teenager (without any experience), so I don't get why people are so judgy. You gotta read the atmosphere of the show.

Well, granted that spoilers have revealed Yeonwoo's mother actually died in the novel, I rather the drama ending with them still searching for her.

It's a BL. It's just that the drama cut out a lot of the small moments between the MCs that was in the novel that showed the romantic nuances that could have added more emotion into the drama.

Gosh, I wish the director had just confirmed they'll do 2 seasons (or more) of the series in the get go. Cuz so far it looks like they are trying to fit 3 of the novels into 8 mini episodes, which is not possible with this story. And it's really noticeable by the time we've hit episode 4. As the last scene of ep 4 just seem really disjointed and rushed. Like they really cut out a lot of details in between of the novel, from what I read on twitter.

But otherwise, I'll still keep watching to see how it rolls.

In case anyone is interested "yuyeonrush" @twitter is translating tidbits from the original Color Rush web novel. The story is such a slow burn. Yeon Woo is a true tsundere and Yoo Han is a real flirt.
The finale is really adorably cute. But I'm also kind of sad there was no actual kiss. Really, even just a cheek kiss would had been a tiny bit more satisfying. And although the bed scene was quite sweet, they could of at least had them awake shirtless.

However, as I thought more about these lack (or even fear) of physical intimacy between Adashi and Kurosawa within the entirety of the show; I've come to the conclusion that Adachi is asexual, plausibly.

Ultimately, I feel Adashi lost his virginity only so he could get rid of the magic so he can reach the next level with Kurosawa, though, in a more emotional sense without the magic being in the way. Which isn't bad. Adashi seems to be the type who needs emotional intimacy over the physical, that Kurosawa is so willing to provide. If I think of it this way, it makes this kind of finale make more sense.

Well, since we know a lot more now I think I can craft a newest theory. -So what do we know as facts from the…
I get your point about the low-key intimacy between Kurosawa and Adashi by the end of the show. I expect just a kiss too. Which is totally fine. From the way I see it Adachi still has a long way to go regarding being at the level of intimacy that Kurosawa has fantasized about. I even suspect that Adashi may be in the asexual spectrum which keeps him from going further with Kurosawa physically.

As oppose to Tsuge who did IT on his first night, which I kinda get why his arc moved so fast now. He's a romance writer, he thinks about sex probably all the time (it's his job after all), so once a guy he liked shows up in his life he went off like a bullet train.
