This was one of those dramas I didn't know if I should watch or not, I kept going back and forth. I'm glad I ended up giving in cause so far I have enjoyed all 3 episode and I'm looking forward to the rest. Hopefully it continues getting even better.
Done with ep 21. I'm glad they're finally together even if she still hasn't accepted his proposal. Now I really want to see the reaction of Ye Xian, Xuan Qing and Yao when they find out. I included Yao although I'm still not sure if he does likes Jin Zhao or he's only trying to help her.
How does pregnancy work here cause I just finished ep 37 and she found out 2 years after her wedding night that she's pregnant. How long is this pregnancy going to last?
the subtitle said it was chen xuanqing's father but at ep 9 chen yanyun brought him to his dad's tomb and said…
Xuanqing was adopted into the Chen family under the name of the brother that was killed that's why he's referred to as Xuanqing's father. While the one from the tomb was his biological father.
I finished ep 12. I heard there's going to be a 3 year time skip because of her mourning. I'm guessing the sister doesn't have to go through that since it wasn't her mom who died (I could be wrong) but if she doesn't someone please let me know if during those 3 years she ends up being forced to marry someone she hates.
I wish I could watch the episodes during the day but it always ends up being at night and by then the 2 new ones have already come out so I always feel like I'm a day behind.
Loved the ending of episode 9 when YY finally realizes he's falling for JZ. I am so ready for her to start falling too! It doesn't seem like YY knows JZ and XQ have mutual feelings and I kinda want him to know to see what he does. Maybe he finds out when she has already fallen for him so he won't actually care and it'll be XQ who ends up trying to do something.
Watching episode 7. When Jin Zhao is talking to Xuan Qing about his calligraphy subs keep mentioning he has been studying calligraphy from his father but his father is the one that died so is he actually saying uncle (Yan Yun) and the subs are just wrong?
I liked this season too but do wish it was a little longer so we could actually see them as a couple for a few more episodes instead of 1½. But I'm glad we were at least able to see Yumi get her happy ending.
iQIYI is the one I have access too and I usually don't have too many complains other than lyrics overlapping with dialogues. After watching episode 1 of this drama I'm surprised how it feels like they didn't put much effort in the subtitles this time. Usually we get the name of characters/places and some subs for any other words showing on screen but this time there's nothing. Even the quality of the subs are not the best but at least understandable enough.
I liked the first episodes. I'm loving both leads and I can already feel the chemistry between them so I'm very excited to see more of them together.
This is my introduction to this ML actor (her too) but because he looks older than his actual age I don't feel too weird finding him extremely attractive like I do other actors that are that much younger than me.
This will be my first drama of both Ren Min and Ci Sha and just a few days ago when I saw the trailer I could've sworn that was the first time I ever heard of this drama but then I came here and it was already on my plan to watch list. Not sure when or why I added it, maybe because of other actors. Anyway! I keep seeing trailers and clips about this drama and I'm getting way too excited for it and I need to stop that cause it's always better to not expect too much. The Rise of Ning is a drama I said I was going to watch one day and now that I see both of them are in that one I wish I could've seen it first cause I'm loving the chemistry between the leads so not sure how I'll go from seeing them as a couple on this one and then seeing him as a SML in the other.
Honestly I didn't think the dramas was bad bad, it was ok. Entertaining enough to make me continue. I just watched the last episode and it almost felt unnecessary. They could've taken some scenes out from other episodes so they could squeeze in that final battle in ep 39 and just be done with it.
They showed us the leads with their children but that scene seems to be a dream cause 36 years later ZY is still King and there's no mention of CQ. Also, what's the point of showing us all the character's "what if" when we know they died and didn't actually get that happy ending. Then they just ended it with ZY and YX staring at each other.
Anyway! I'm glad I'm done with it and can forget all about it.
