I actually haven't watched love beyond frontier... It didn't catch my interest BUT you're right. I mean the few clips I saw of it on my feed showed New making the typical New face.
He isn't a very expressive actor at all. Some mentioned his doing very well as M in Sotus but he made the same constipated faces... His role was minor enough there that I guess it didn't matter.
I think DBk was filmed before 3WBF if I'm not mistaken. Either way Tay did act his ass off. His range was surprising to me in the best ways! I haven't watched the comedic dramas you mentioned that New featured in...
Honestly I think he could have done better in DBK had he been given a better script. His new and unimproved Kao character further highlights those short comings you mentioned.
The very rare "lovey" moments weren't bad in my opinion. Maybe because I was new to Thai BL when I first saw KMA but I don't even remember thinking he was a bad actor there... Plus I actually enjoyed our skyy well enough...
I just think DBK did him a big diservice (or maybe not since you mentioned LBFrontier)
P.S: Very unfair to try and league New to Krist, Singto, especially not Ohm! That kid gave me goosebumps in He's coming to me! The others are good too but had to specially shout-out Ohm

You're right they are both at fault in different ways. However I still stand that I don't think Kao firmly told Non he wasn't interested until that very last episode after their anniversary. Before he hinted and diverted, he never firmly said no. He didn't have to say he was with Pete. He just had to shut that down and he didnt. Also what was with that message he wrote on Non's card? Making it seem as if there was hope.
Agreed that this whole thing boggles down to Kao being in the closet. Granted it's not really fair as Pete didn't "have" to come out to his dad. He was exposed but luckily his father is very level headed and cool.

I still say the situations are very different though (there are similarities but outside of the San/Tar drama) Tharn spent all these episodes chasing him, in contrasts after 3 years Kao constantly brushes Pete off and gives him the cold shoulder. Their relationship just seems non-consentual.
Are you sure because I will! Ha ha We are left with a MAJOR cliffhanger that makes it seems like YXG might have gotten hit by a car or something. The previews for next week is 6 years later but makes it seem like our babies aren't even together
