I keep thinking too much. The Master says if he wants to keep torturing himself and stay in this loop then go back to the body. If he wants to break the cycle then go thrymu the door. We're assuming hes talking about death but he doesnt say that. Is this like Groundhog Day where they continually loop until they discover what love means?
They managed to create the worst episode of the entire series. Nothing was right.Excuse me, but Tong's redemption…
They totally departed from the novel and you could cleary see that. Why? Did they need more action and drama than the novel? Did they want to use a different trope that was more Thai than Chinese? Did they want something unexpected from the novel?
It just occurred to me: the Master is Mings Master. Why is he contacting Joe? Is this the last temptation? So is he testing Joe to see if he decides to love Ming unconditionally? And he gives him the choice. Though choosing Ming would be the rhight choice, the road to take.
I hope that by the end of this BL series, folks discover some heartwarming humanity and nuggets of wisdom. Otherwise,…
Thats what im thinking too. The moral is 2nd chances, learning to love yourself. Until ep 11 which departs from the novel and changes the moral to...what? True love is immortal until you stop the loop? An hour later: i now have a different opinion.
Obviously, according to tropes, Ming calls back Joe with the reminder "dont you love me anymore". So Joe doesn't pass thru the door but eventually returns to Ming. Thats my theory anyway. This scenario, I believe is a total departure from the novel.
Is My Stand-in worth it? I couldn't bring myself to enjoy Only Boo or We are though...
My stand in is excellent, the story, the directing, the twists, the acting. The two leads seem an odd pairing at first but they have great on screen chemistry. It will play with your emotions.
An hour later: i now have a different opinion.
