I was thinking the same. The weak spot is the pacing and thats the directors fault.

I have a theory already for the ending. Of course im never right. But what if...
In the trailers we see how Kelvin says hes going to take care of Veir. What if thats the ending and Veir has had brain damage and needs to be taken care of. I should write fan fic.
Or maybe they postponed the air date to redo the ending to a happy one because so many fans were looking forward to it.
Ill bet our theories will change as each episode reveals more.

This isnt the first time asian dramas go back and forth in time. You get used to it and it will eventually make sense. Theres a reason they do it this way instead of linearity. But dont ask me why just yet!

So many mirrors in ep 14. I know mirrors are symbolic in dramas, showing duality or conflicted feelings. But i dont quite get the purpose here. Any ideas to help me out? I was especially surprised when Shulong was reflected 3 ways. What does it mean??

I thought it was a logical ending. I figured the way c dramas operate since they already sinned from the beginning theyd die. Or he'd sacrifice himself for the cause. The younger sister kind of foreshadowed that.

I've been through so many of these an open ending doesn't bother me. Usually if one is in the revolutionary army he'll live. I wasnt sure if she represented the wealthy class that lost.

I thought he died because she got his letters all at once. But on rewatch they both faded to gray. So did they both die?
Whatever, i really liked this drama. Loved her costuming. And him? What can i say other than hes a Scorpio with that smoldering look.
As my daughter says..if its historical then theyre dead.
