Every scene with the ml reminds me of how good Lee Min Ho's Royal demeanor was in his King drama... I'm sorry…
You also have to look at the idea that Byeon Woo Seok isn't the King. Lee Min Ho WAS the King, so their demeanors have to be different.
Byeon Woo Seok is doing a great job of someone who obviously could and maybe SHOULD be king, but he has to hold himself back and make himself small.
I also remember so many people putting Lee Min Ho down in that drama. King Eternal Monarch got review bombed too and it was really good. People are just never happy.
smh at some comments here, god forbid a fan girl is employed omg at least she was the right kind of fan who respects…
Seriously! It wasn't teen fans that sold out Hyundai's new model vehicle when BTS was promoting it. It was adult fans with jobs. Fans that grew with them and are around their ages. As a professional fan myself it's really not that hard to be both. They don't stop bringing me joy just because I have a job. lol
Written by the Hong Sisters, same writers as Alchemy of Souls, Hotel del Luna, A Korean Odyssey, The Master's Sun, The Greatest Love and You're Beautiful! All dramas I've enjoyed immensely. They haven't written a Romantic Comedy in a WHILE, and combined with the amazing cast, so I'm really looking forward to this!
The rating is insanely low for no reason. This was fun, silly, and very cute! Cliches and tropes abounded but who cares... that's what we come to dramas for. It deserves an 8.3 at least, which is a solid rating. How is this rated lower than Serendipity's Embrace!? It was nice and all but it was so slow and just as frustrating.
Loving the drama so far and hating that the rating is so low. This would be KILLING IT if it were on Netflix. It's got a lot of cliches yeah, but I don't really care. Love the actors and the chemistry.
there's a mistake in the netflix synopsis, i don't know if it's only in the french translation because my netflix…
The one in the US says "BTS' Jin and Ji Ye Eun." Which still isn't clear, but might be a little better? It would help to name Jin second... like Ji Ye Eun and BTS' Jin or something
So far I see the same people in the comments spreading hate CONSTANTLY..... like... if you dislike the drama so much why are you still here?! Just go away... It's like, you decided episode 1, it was horrible (it wasn't...) and you're trying to stick with that narrative even though it's building and growing so much! If you don't like something, it's ok to not like it and leave quietly... or comment once and leave. I promise. Why come back?
There are so many people that hate on something just bc it's popular or has a certain actor they don't like, that they miss out on something that could very well be incredibly special!
Personally, the drama has only gotten better and better for me. I've been watching it with my mom and brother, and we're all VERY invested. The villain is well written and mysterious, without being all powerful and all knowing.
Not every romance is fire and passion. This kind of romance is trust and magic and softness... and I'm here for it. I loved KGE in Cheese in the Trap and Goblin, and I love seeing her actually kicking butt here. She's not helpless, and I LOVE that!
LMH gets a lot of hate for his acting, but..... why? "He plays the same roles!" well, when you're as handsome as he is, and as popular, that's all you get usually bc that's all people see you as. Are they gonna cast him as the villain? The goofy friend? Only if they want the lead actor ignored. He's grown so much in his acting though, and there are actually times in this I forget I'm watching LMH, and that's saying a lot. The ending of episode 11 was fantastic! Best fight scene ever? No... but I loved the drama of it.
The storyline here is really intriguing! I'm so curious what's gonna happen and there are so many theories and side plots, I can't wait for more. The Time Travel aspect gets me the most. About to go watch Episode 12!
