ML's mother would be awesome if she just toned down the excessive-ness. She is a typical control freak and was very deeply hurt by the misunderstanding that lead to her divorce.
I would also say that there is a certain element of being prideful and not wanting to be vulnerable which is necessary for a long healthy relationship.
She seems like she gave up on the possibility of a loving relationship and while she might want that on the surface for her son (that's all that's missing from her otherwise perfect offspring) she doesn't want to be replaced as his primary caregiver. She needs like a hobby or something to take the edge of.

I am glad that the brother in-law was finally able to get all the grievances off his heart. He has been using that as an excuse for stepping out of his home so now we shall see how that develops. I bet he will start to regret it soon especially after that lady moves on which it looks like she is getting ready to, since she found her next victim, our ML.

What the brother in law said really need to be said, especially to the Dad. The dad is not fair in his treatment to family member, especially those who share a large bulk of financial responsibility (FL and brother in law). The dad really needs to realize that he has ruined his son by being too soft on him. The boy can not shoulder any responsibility so how can he be expected to provide for a family. Any reasonable parent would not want a son in law like that.
He thinks that he will always run to his father who will then force his sister to foot the financial responsibility of his reckless actions.

I am honestly looking forward to seeing how the ML's mother reacts to that little homewrecker wannabe's attempts. This may end up being the thing that pushes her to accept the FL. Am not worried about ML being tempted by her since he was quite comfortable staying single instead of dealing with the issues that arise because of his mother.

I am suspecting that the reason FL's previous relationships didn't work out are because of her dad and her brother too. ML's mother is right about that, you look at those kind of issues before you decide if the relationship is worth it.
That's probably why she doesn't want to bring it up because she doesn't want to start another argument.

Random thoughts on recent developments- EP 22

Yep, it a matter of personal preference. I prefer the first couple.
I can't like Lu Qing Wu until she addresses stealing FL's work so I can't support her wanting to take advantage of Si Qi - which is where they are right now.

I was skeptical if I should watch this drama since the opening scene was just so cliqued so I randomly clicked on an episode which happened to be ep 4. The scene I found was so funny that I stopped right there and went to start the show from the beginning and am now eagerly awaiting the rest of the episodes.

This female lead character is something new, and while some may not like how straightforward she is, I love that about her.

Her scene in the bus in ep 4 was so hilarious that I just had to give this drama a try

He finally vocalizes his feelings in ep 18 but he was already showing signs of liking her even like 10 episodes before. He at least showed signs of preferring her company from very early on actually.
The parents are over the top. Let's just say that I don't hate them now.

Don't ff any scenes with the leads, it awesome watching how their relationship develops step by step.
ML was slow to accept his feelings but there is a reason why

Continue knowing that the brother will only get worse.
The main couple are so adorable when they get together that it makes it worth it to endure that stupid little shit's scenes.

I was completely biased against this show because of the bad reviews so I held off on watching this but I decided to give it a try and am glad that I did.
Watching it on Viki and the comments are hilarious.
I actually don't mind FL's acting in this.
The character she is playing strikes me as reserved, calm and she is playing that well.

Bei Bei definitely deserves better! I really don't know what she sees in him.
I meant how come she seems to be the only reasonable one in the bunch. Her parents said she takes after her grandfather so maybe that's why.
I don't think the brother is redeemable as it is right now. He takes advantage of his family because his father allows it. He knows that he doesn't have to work for anything as long as he whines about it his father will make sure the FL gives it to him.
I wonder too what will be the tipping point for the dad to realise that he is not helping his son by letting off the hook.

I am really looking forward to the next episodes especially now that they have both acknowledged that they like each other at least to themselves. It shouldn't be much longer.

I get you. The level of toxicity and lack of responsibility of the brother and his in-laws can be too much to handle. Especially with his father spoiling rotten. I had given up watching it while it was airing but the leads interactions were too interesting.

It kind of looks like the leads are perfect for handling each other other's troublesome family members.
