When does FL find out the truth about her family's murder? Does the ML ever figure out that fl sent him away to protect him or does he continue being stupid all the way through? Does the ML ever rebel against the dastardly emperor?
I've just seen a mixed reaction about this series. Now I never thought I would watch this but I have been considering…
Depends on what you are in the mood for. If you are looking for a well written story that flows and makes sense all the way through - this is not the story for you. If however you are prepared to be more forgiving for of the giant plot holes then there are some interesting elements and characters in this show. There was so much potential.... Its neither the best nor the worst drama I have ever seen. I finished it but I doubt I will ever watch it again.
nope, not yet. are you sure it was an episode and not trailers?
I checked out the link and it looks like a promotional video for the show. It has a narrator, its short at only 21 mins long - full episodes for Cdramas are like 45 mins long usually with some exceptions. Besides, dobuku doesn't have any episodes listed except for the trailer and that's my gold standard.
Why do some people hate on XJ for betraying SF?I mean she trusted him still when he said she was a demonSF pretended…
A general rule of thumb that I follow is that for some reason FL's are always more criticized than their ML counterparts sometimes warranted and sometimes not. People always seem to be more forgiving to the male characters than the female.
In this particular case I agree with you that XJ reactions made sense from her point of view. She was like a blank slate and any reactions she had were learnt from her interactions with her family and friends. XJ had always had SF's back even when it was the unpopular choice and she got punished for it. Its just that any suffering that she went through pales in comparison to what SF goes through.
I loved the premise of this drama, however I didn’t find much stood out about it to me in the end, I was skipping…
completely off topic but if you have never seen it before Midsummer murders, the British show is pretty good. The episodes are longer than the usual US shows but I story is always good.
That's hilarious! Why would goblin fans be triggered especially since this came out years before goblin. People, just be honest and say you are looking for something to be upset about!
Yes, agree. I wished the show would just cut the family part and focus on the leads and their careers :/
This show is going on hold until it finishes airing - I cannot handle constantly screaming at the screen. Better to wait and just forward the scenes with the parents. I honestly cant decide who is worse - the most intrusive mother ever or the father who spoils his ungrateful little s**t of a son and favors him over his daughter.
Hao Chen is an excellent villain, so well developed and written. Duke An is a really lame and sloppily written,…
Interesting! It was the opposite for me. I detested Duke An eventually to the point where I had to skip his scenes because he was so badly written. Absolutely none of his motivation made any sense for anything he did. He ended up being evil mainly as a plot device but not a well done one. That's what made me more mad because it just seemed like lazy writing
Hao Chen on the other hand was a very well written plot device and I could enjoy the spice his machinations brought to the drama. The only issue I had with him was how he ended up - It seems to me, like the writer took the easy way out there.

It helps its well written and with well developed characters.
False advertising!!!! - There are not steamy more like lukewarm.
I am still enjoying the story though...

The comments on this drama were actually fairly tame compared to so others.

I shall defeat you, one day.

I can already tell that they will be the biggest source of angst in this show.
