Its speaks to how good the story is that we can ignore all of that. I am mostly skipping the other side characters arcs especially that sect lady - there was a limit to how many times I could roll my eyes to that desperateness so now I just ff. Its really bad, every scene with her in it, if they are not discussing a case, I skip it.
It didn't bother me the first time because I was too invested in the story and it was only for those early episodes so I forgot. Am only noticing it now because am watching this after finishing Love and Redemption and the CGI in that was top notch so its really sticking out. Am, now past those episodes so its back to the fun parts

ahhh, that makes way more sense. These script writers have got to stop cutting corners with their characters. They made him so important simply to brush him off. He essentially became a plot device to further the story along and create angst.
