Its funny when you comment under someone calling the series bromance “ Just say you want to see NC scenes to call it bl” they will get defensive and start calling you homophobic. But a series that literally is portraying characters realising they are in love with same sex and how they are struggling with it for various reasons and yet calling it a bromance isn’t that homophobic too?! I wonder why the double standard . And you are right most them are probably kids but unfortunately some one them are in their late 40’s
Reading some of the comments here it feels some of you watched a completely different show… how can you call it a bromance? Sheng Wang’s feeling for Jiang Tian was the reason Sheng Wang intentionally butchered his exam and trying to distance himself fron Jiang Tian. Tell me in which bromance drama MC distances himself because of his romantic feelings for ML? Shang Wang wanting to kiss Jiang Tian, fantasizing Jiang Tian showering and calling out his name… tell me which bromance drama did you see such scenes … or the line Sheng Wang tells himself “If I like him or not… only I know it” if this was not confession that Sheng wang is in love with Jiang Tian than I don’t know what is? Just say you guys needed an proper NC scene to call it a BL. After all stay with me incorporated little kisses yet many people called it bromance why? Because it didn’t have NC scenes. I was there from the start to finish with Stay with me series and the excuses people made to label that series bromance was mind boggling and some of you are doing the same thing with this series!

Its because the English teacher is Chinese and the investors demanded she gets more screen time that's why the teacher story got this lengthy because they created new material to include her more... In the novel the teachers get minimal focus. Its mostly about friendship and BL and career and childhood trauma.

I understand you really… honestly 12 more episodes they could have wrapped up the whole novel.. its the company and investors and also the copyright issue that made them end in the middle. If people get discourage because of this and stop watching we will not get season 2! The director even said in his recent podcast talk about season 2 is already on the progress. This time I have a feeling we will get a season 2! We just needs to be patient and continue supporting the actors and the whole team
Honestly that’s the only place they could have ended the series… the book fans are already mad for the changes they made if they randomly made a big change they would have probably send death threats to the director but now only show fans are angry. What is confusing? Two boys meet each other due to their parents fling and they are confused how to navigate around each other and then slowly become friends because they realise they both have similar pain brought by their childhood and then develop into a romantic relationship. The novel is long and its a slice of life genre with BL. Book 1 and 2 is about them becoming friends and overcoming childhood trauma and more focused on their student life and for sheng wang seeing those teacher kissings opened his mind that boys can be romantically involved and his feelings for Tian is not platonic. Book 3 is when they both realise their feeling and confess and become couple and make out make out make out. Book 4 angst angst and then happy ending!!!
