I just found out that all the investors of this series is from Mainland China!! Now it make sense quality wise this series looks expensive and why directors wants douban score to be raised. As i said douban is China’s Imdb they give importance to that than other site ratings. So guys please if you can reg to douban score the serie higher. We need that season 2!

If they showed mdl comments its a rare occurrence. I kind of understand the director like imagine you work your ass off to produce such a good series and people are bomb rating because they think the actors are ugly and do not meet their beauty standards or they think that the director Was not faithful to the original novel. As a novel Reader, the director did absolutely amazing job of keeping 95% of the original content and only added some Original content…again no work is without a little modification. It must be sad for them. I’m pretty sure the whole team probably had a high expectation in terms of feedback and appreciation. They thought that the mainland Chinese fans would love and appreciate this adaptation. I think everyone got blindsided by the negative reaction of the mainland Chinese fans.
Even the director seems to be sad at Douban’s bomb rating. He posted in his insta story. Guys if possible please go to douban and rate the series 5 star. No need to read loser citizens mean comments or engage with them just rate the series please
