The best remake in the history of remake! Chai Ji Dian had tremendously improved her writing over the course of these years it seems! I love how this remake focuses on Wu Bi and his grief and craving for parental love of a mother he lost too early and a father who exists just in name and doesn't even love or give attention to help his son to compensate for the loss of the mother. When Wu Bi said to his father " Your own son transferred to a school for three 3 months and you didn't know and you went to school to talk to the other son and had no idea your real son was there as well" this showcased his father is so detached and absent from his life that he has absolute zero ideas what his son does in his everyday life yet the only thing he notices is his son rebelliousness but not the reasons why Wu Bi behaves that way or perhaps he does know why his son behaves this way but he chooses to ignore it for his own selfish happiness.

I am always pulled towards the angst of found family, and this series is doing a great job of my god! For Wu Bi, his loss is more profound, and unknowingly a lot was at stake on the lies and truth. It was inevitable that he wouldn't only lose Su Ye but the family he always sought desperately that he found in the company of Su Ye, Su Ye's father, Dou Dou, and her mother. Su Ye's closing the door on W Bi's face was heartbreaking! He was furious at fate and Su Ye for being so cruel to him and denying him the opportunity to have a family. Because of his father, he was losing yet another person who added color to his otherwise colorless existence.

Wu Bi is a really sad meow meow character and deserves so much adoration and love and hopefully, he will get his happiness soon!

So maybe current time is 2009 or 2010 and the time jump will bring us to 2021 or 2022! Makes sense to me but lets seem maybe in future we will know the exact year

For suye and his friends it is definitely incime bracket but even Wi Bi and his step mother uses old phones which lead me to think maybe we are in early 21 cen and also the QQ messenger thingy they used also seems very old too and was popular in China from 2003ish to 2014ish from what I gathered from google😅

I actually don’t remember the time jump years at all😅 maybe the time jump year will be 2020+ when they will reunite again? 🤔

Because Wu Bi and Gu hai both lied that they lived in that area from childhood but Su Ye and Bai both actually grew up in that area and knew people around the area so if somehow they met the neighbours they will know Wu Bi/ Gu are not actually from that area and recently moved in. Tbh Wu Bi’s one makes more sense because he lied he lives with his father and who is also friends with Suye’s father 😅

I think maybe because there will be a big time jump..just like the novel if I remember correctly…. So if they follow 2021 ( when this series was filmed )the time jump will lead them to 2030ish ( i dont rem exact time jump number) ig thats is why they decided to start the series very early 2010ish?

Also low income people in my country still uses stuffs from very early 2000’s so for Su Ye and his friends is normal to have backdated and cheap electronics but for Wu Bi 😅 he is rich he should have a little bit more expensive stuffs but oh well😅

For real! The scenes we saw in these two episodes if people still insist this is a bromance well… it’s useless to give them any attention cuz we all know all they want to see is soft porn 💀

For real now I think this should have been 30+ long ep with1 hour duration! The episodes are so entertaining and enjoyable that it feels like in a blink the ep ended! I am already dreading it will end too soon 🥲
