I like the pace of how the character developed but I didn’t see much change in him overall. He seemed to be the red flag 🚩 in mostly all his relationships. ML didn’t want for Kim Nan gyu the photographer to change for him but disliked his boring style life but didn’t communicate and instead lashed out at him once he wanted to end things without trying to work thing out .
Philosophy guy in the 2nd relationship was just plain wrong for playing with ML feeling like he did. ML was also wrong in trying to make him come out to the people he was talking to in the park . He himself didn’t want his girl best friend to tell her then boyfriend about him being gay so he was wrong to make him feel pressured to do so. It doesn’t excuse the coward of 2nd guy for doing what he did and just leading the guy on and playing with him because ML seemed to have gotten attached to him and even wanting to tell him mother about them just for him to be betrayed . But double red flag 🚩 🚩.
Last but not least Bartender Guy aka 3rd guy. He was perfect in every way possible and was a softy who wanted to make ML happy by pleasing him but it was never enough because ML always found a way to fuck him over. 3rd guy would travel from far to reach ML just for him to get yelled at for being late but would later understand. Bartender guy would want to have dates but would be ignored🚩. He would be understanding but I feel like he was walking on eggshells while in the relationship. The ML then let him go without telling him how he truly felt while bartender guy was ready to stay by his side as long as their love
Could withstand every challenge they faced TOGETHER. he didn’t care about ML having hiv but would worry about him being okay . He didn’t want to leave if it meant not being together but ML didn’t want to hold him back in success but it didn’t justify his decision because most people could do long distance relationships and not effect each others career . It was just sad that ML still hadn’t grasped the concept of love after everything he’s been through. I really wished for ML AND BARTENDER GUY to be END GAME but just like the LANTERN 🏮 it just had to come crushing down . He even had flashbacks of their relationship while he was with the other random guy in Bangkok so while overthink and complicate everything. That is how I truly felt about the series . I wish they make season 2 or at least give the guy a happy ending with Gyu Ho . Not even his friends found love and that is just sad 😢.

I don’t like when seongmin says sorry because at the end of the day you can’t love / like everyone that treats you well. He seems to worry and care for everyone else’s feelings rather than try to figure out his own. Hwi just goes with the flow and doesn’t care about anything other than his happiness and I like that knowing seongmin’s age didn’t affect his feelings for him .

He is hurt so he doesn’t know how to handle the situation . I feel like in the past he seemed to care when he was texting and waiting for a reply but was ghosted and now that he doesn’t want to bring the matter up he is being pressured to do so. They have misunderstandings and yet they both are unable to express themselves without feeling hurt or getting mad revisiting the past because it could hold a meaning to both whether it be a simple fling or wanting to become more to each other.

I felt like YJ was damanding and felt entitled to get his questions answered but wasn’t able to talk to MG about the fallout between them. He is very expressive with his feelings for Hanmin so I feel like MG is seeing a new side of YJ he wasn’t able to see before. If YJ is capable of speaking out his feelings for hanmin why wasn’t he capable to express his disinterested in MG .

I feel like SM and JS are really selfish in wanting to gatekeep the people they caught feelings for and then figuring out how they truly feel. HWI is very open and honest about his feelings and isn’t afraid of swaying for others yet trying to be respectful to what others feel but SM is very confusing. He said that he wants HWI to open up to others yet he puts him in an isolated room and is giving mixed signals when asked about why he choose the roommate room to change to his preference. JS is unsure about who he likes yet he tries to separate SM and HWI without thinking things through to not hurt them both. Things got messy for the three of them and I wish they would soon just call it quit and move on with or without the one they caught feelings for .

My opinion: I think MG was not expecting to give an announcement of his previous relationship and at the very least he was letting YJ decide because YJ was always the one to make things go his way. YJ was very demanding and playing the victim when in reality MG was hurt by his actions yet YJ was unaware . MG even said that YJ couldn’t handle not being answered for a few sec/mins yet he was ghosted and for a reason he was unaware of . Hanmin even said that he feels sorry for MG but had to take YJ side because of his feeling for him.

I feel like that isn’t a reasonable way to part ways with someone. MG isn’t very expressive but he might have liked YJ and wasn’t aware of their relationship falling apart whether it be a short fling or just testing the waters to get to know one another . YJ should have given him a reason as to why he was cutting him out of his life and being distant. I think MG feels the situation unfair and not worth talking about because he felt like he was the only one losing something that he considered special to each other. YJ was also very demanding of the misunderstanding between each other and he was just thinking of himself rather than how MG was feeling .

Han so hee is getting hated on because ryu jun yeol wasn’t man enough to defend her from the public when it was announced they were seeing each other while not breaking up with hyeri properly. Neither woman deserved to get hated on because he made the mistake and if my opinion is bugging you then just don’t read it . I am stating my opinion on the situation so that others can comprehend not to hate on the both women. Other people are mad for the same reason or just to be hardcore haters. He doesn’t deserve to not be criticized because if you don’t call out one’s actions then they will think it’s okay. He might be someone’s role model and would think that his actions are justified just because he is a man while women should pay the price. I am not saying that he should go to h*ll or sending him death threats.

You were right I don’t know but now with her insta post we can clearly see that they did not come to a clear closure resulting in this chaotic mess. He was the problem. He is a coward and a bad man for both women.

This guy is a coward for hiding behind HSH downfall. I don’t support his current relationship because he recently broke up a 7 yr relationship with hyeri. He now goes back to Korea from his trip with HSH from Hawaii and comes back alone to not draw attention but then what does that say about him ? He doesn’t take a stance and make it seem like he cares of the hate HSH is getting nor try to fix the situation while she was the one trying to convince others that she is not a rebound in her blogs that she had to take down because of the hate she received but she makes it seem like the relationship that they are currently trying to form is more important to her than to him. If the public hates him then they will hate him more for not being a man and trying to be supportive / give comfort to HSH or speak up and set things in place .

The female lead from cheer up is cringey and IDK why they created her character to be that way. she has so much potential in the penthouse series but the script writers ruined it. the plot for cheer up is the only thing that is keeping me from dropping it but idk who else feels this way.

That’s a you problem and that is why society can’t progress. It takes one person to bring hated into this world of ours and I hope you could at least do a bit of research before saying things about this sort of topic.
