- the peacock dad is still evil, hypocritical and the evil shepherd. - the useless heavenly immortals are all…
Even though I don't subscribe to all your views, your commentary is pretty interesting to read. I like the humorous tone. ๐ There are many valid points you made such as the male lead's "short-term memory loss" ๐คฃ
However, in the drama Hua Shu gave heavy punishment to A Yin. This heavy punishment can be endured only by a demi-god. In short, Hua Shu gave A Yin a punishment meant for demi-gods. The Eagle princess arrived in time to rescue A Yin, so she knows at least some details of what happened. But Hong Yi conveyed only a very brief message which didn't fully reveal the details regarding the level of punishment... He didn't mention that she received a punishment meant for demi-gods. So, naturally, Yuan Qi must have assumed it to be the usual heavenly punishment. Still, he did try to not punish her for the sake of other foolish immortals. Things took a bad turn when A Yin 'volunteered' to be punished (a bad move from her part). Also Yuan Qi did something equally foolish yielding to A Yin's willful request. Yuan qi, right from the beginning, was always like this --- yielding to the heroine whenever she was willful.
I'm going to declare this once more --- I love this drama poster! It's so cute, fluffy, romantic. And I love the way the main leads pose in this poster ๐๐คญ
Personally I think the sleek open hairstyle suits the male lead actor more than those ponytail hairstyles... He looks more like a true god now in this new costume and hairstyle... Wish they stuck to this look throughout... ๐ฎโ๐จ
I think it was more to respect A-Yin's wishes, since before she die, she said she doesn't want to see him anymore.
But didn't this scene where Yuan Qi comes barging into Nether king's realm in order to be allowed to look for A Yin's soul fragment take place before the opening scene we saw in episode 1?
I really loved the dream Yuan Qi had after he went into a temporary coma after A Yin's death... I really enjoyed and loved watching the dream where the two stand on the bridge and make wishes and look at glittery, floating things. But I'm a bit disappointed that Yuan Qi used the word 'like' instead of love... I'm going to replay that clip once more... Can someone upload photos based on this clip?
I love Hong Yi's nirvana wheel weapon. It looks quite cool when Hong Yi hurls it and it later ricochets back to him๐ And the male lead looks quite handsome in his new costume. I just can't stop starting at him! ๐
Looks like they cut out the scene where Yuan Qi screams in agony after A yin's death. Why didn't they include it?
Happened to notice Carter Burwell's breaking dawn bgm mixed up with other musical melodies of one particular bgm in today's episode, but I loved listening to it! ๐
Why is the Nether King hiding the truth about A Yin from Yuan Qi? Is it to not give Yuan Qi false hopes?
After watching ep 26, I must vent my frustration here!๐ I honestly pity Yuan Qi, and I don't completely blame Yuan Qi for A Yin's death. He was doing his best stalling for time, remaining silent, and at that precise moment this A Yin had to act like a tragic heroine and volunteer for the 'immortal bone sealing ' punishment. And Yuan Qi who was already exhausted in every way got utterly frustrated to see A Yin volunteer like this. I mean, this true god was doing his best to keep A Yin alive in every way possible by sacrificing some of his immortal powers for her, fighting fierce battles with god killing flowers, nourishing spirit elixirs etc for her and what not.
Yuan Qi must have felt really frustrated and saddened to see A Yi throw herself recklessly in more troubled waters without a thought for him. Maybe somewhere in the back of his mind, he wax frustrated to see his efforts go to waste... Of course, it's also Yuan Qi's fault for not telling her how he saved her, but in the heat of that moment, Yuan Qi must have thought A Yin was not cherishing herself properly. He must have bern pretty frustrated to see his efforts to protect her go down the drain. On top of that, she was making things difficult for him by choosing to 'volunteer' for the punishment. Why not wait for Yuan Qi to speak? See what he has to say? A Yin took the decision herself --- too impulsively. And I'm sure that made Yuan Qi quite angry, and in his anger, he decided to destroy Ningyuan mountain (of course, without hurting A Yin as per his plans)... A Yin could've just opened her mouth and told him her immortal core is already shattered... Ok, let's say, she didn't open her mouth and say all that because she harbored painful grudges and doubts in relation to Yuan Qi. But can't she see clearly see how strongly Yuan Qi was speaking up for her publicly?
What I saw in episode 26 was two stubborn, exhausted main leads torturing each other because of lack of clear communication, and emotional frustration. A yin volunteered to go and be a martyr, and Yuan Qi chose to be an immature , emotional and irritable, angry instead of remaining calm, cool and collected. I don't know why Yuan Qi didn't just disobey the foolish immortal little lords? What's the point of being a true god if he can't protect the one he loves by using his powerful status arbitrarily? And what's the point of being a smart water divine beast who is incapable of 'reading the room' and incapable of understanding the male lead's intents at crucial moments like these?
I feel sorry and ridiculous for both these stubborn, foolish main leads. In my opinion, both should've listened to each other, opened up to each other. Both of them(in my opinion) are responsible for A Yin's death. In the upcoming episodes, I just hope both main leads forgive, reconcile , and not repeat the mistakes they made in the past๐
There! I vomitted my frustrations and and said everything I've to say. ๐
Despite all this, today's episodes were amazing. I really had a good time watching ep 25, 26.
Looks like Hua Shu is looking for death... Voluntarily ๐
I pretty much agree with you but i would like to point out that unlike dongfang qingcang who was just the supreme…
Yeah you absolutely have a point. As for what I said earlier, I was referring to demon king Dong Fang Qing Cang of the novel, Cang Lan Jue --- not the drama version of Cang Lan Jue. In the novel, both heavenly and demon realms and all other realms feared him. He also used to break laws and rules arbitrarily no matter what other thought about it. He was not interested in placating everyone. But then he was a very old demon whereas this yuan qi is a young true god.
I see

Yeah, tough choices for the male lead.
