I pretty much agree with you but i would like to point out that unlike dongfang qingcang who was just the supreme…
Yeah you absolutely have a point. As for what I said earlier, I was referring to demon king Dong Fang Qing Cang of the novel, Cang Lan Jue --- not the drama version of Cang Lan Jue. In the novel, both heavenly and demon realms and all other realms feared him. He also used to break laws and rules arbitrarily no matter what other thought about it. He was not interested in placating everyone. But then he was a very old demon whereas this yuan qi is a young true god.
He is also an extremely young god compared to the other MLs we are talking about
Yup. But then again, if Yuan Qi didn't hurt A Yin like this, and if Feng Yin didn't take time to forgive him because of this and other things, what'll be the point of watching a xianxia that as we all know is expected to be emotionally charged? ππ
I love this version of the story too even though it's emotionally complex . I just enjoyed watching everything so far... π
Please note: even if had the writers written a version of the story where Feng Yin forgave Yuan Qi easily, that'd would also be no problem for me as long as the narrative and presentation of this is done in a way appealing to meπβΊπ€

Yes, that's another factor. Actually what I wanted to say was maybe the writers could've written out the male lead that way too... A male lead uses his 'true god' status to save the female lead simply because he wants to.... π But I like this version too... Not any problems from my side... Maybe he could've avoided the use of the word 'regret' or maybe he could've apologized to A Yin he was sorry he used the word 'regret' when she delivered the 'mung bean cakes' to him later. That horrible maid from god realm didn't seem to be anywhere around him at that point of time...
But all this doesn't mean I don't find this version of the story entertaining βΊ
I can understand Yuan Qi's dilemmas, Yuan Qi's problems, but maybe he should have broken all laws and protected A Yin more at any cost. (just like Dong Fang Qing Cang did in Cang Lan Jue novel or the way phoenix demon, Xufeng did in Heavy sweetness Ash like Frost novel, or like the way xufeng the phoenix did in the ashes of love drama. ). After all, isn't he a true God and above every one else? But then again, in most xianxia dramas, the male lead or female lead (demon or god or immortal) will end up making some big mistake unintentionally, and later make amends for it. Their love story will be epic, heart wrenching --- a kind of love story which has 'forgiveness' and 'deep love' as it's foundation. π Either both or one of the lovers will suffer a lot in the name of love or both main leads will take turns at enduring exteme torturous suffering in the name of 'deep love'πβΊ This is xianxia world. This is the usual pattern. And I as a viewer, enjoy watching all these patterns, all this epic melodrama unfold as long as the characters I love get a happy ending... π
But personally I do feel Yuan Qi could've used his new status as a 'true god' to break, bend all rules of heaven 'as he wishes' to protect A Yin and even Hong Yi, especially A Yin... Even though I empathize with Yuan Qi & feel bad for him, I 'm really disappointed in Yuan Qi regarding that aspect. Maybe after this terrible experience, hopefully he won't repeat it ever again...
Yeah, It's true from A Yin's perspective, but I guess he said that to mislead everyone else --- confuse them into…
Yup, but the story is designed this way so that there will be lot of angst. Maybe he did all that because he has his reasons, , but yes, he could have given her a hint. But then another thing is, he was, occupied by lot of problems at the same time. And he was the only true god out there.
Still, yes, he could've given her a hint that he loves her, and also asked someone to keep an eye out for Hua Shu's or anyone's next malicious moves towards Ayin.
But then, if all these things happen, the beauty of this story will be lost because this version of the story won't exist anymore... ππ

Yeah, tough choices for the male lead.

Same here

Then what will she do?
