It's notable that the situation was quite the opposite with the two main leads (in the present)before their fifth tribulation... Chu Kong was the one who remained calm while xiangyun got emotional.
I find their fifth tribulation so epic!

I suspected the heavenly emperor from the start, but I never thought he'd be bad to the point of absorbing Ming Yue's power. But I admire the way this evil heavenly king hatched and plotted. I admire the way Chu Kong's evil bro effortlessly schemes, strategizes & plots. Such a pity he puts his talent to use for bad purposes. I admire the look of his silver qilin even though he's such an evil villian 😄😅
Princess Ming Yue's ending was tragic to watch... Such a pitiful character. Feel bad for her. She deserved better.

Wonder whether that conveys anything... Is it Chu Kong of the past or Chu Kong of the present(reliving his past) raising his eyebrow?
I love the scene where the male lead acted out the lines, "Then I, a humble lady will repay you for saving my life". 🤣 It's so cute & adorable to watch. And I just love the way they both sit side by side and swing their legs. ☺ This is the first time (for me) to watch something like this in a xianxia cdrama. This male lead is not at all stiff or boring. 🤣☺🥰

After watching ep 28, I feel real bad for Chu Kong. Even when he led a carefree life, he helped Xiu Ming. Can't understand why the present XiuMing doesn't think about this episode whenever he feels resentment towards the present version of Chu Kong... I think xiuming should still give Chu Kong a chance to find out the truth...
This Cang Hai is more serious compared to Chu Kong in this life, but she's still adorable & considerate towards everyone, especially to Chu Kong in a non-boring way. 🤭😄 I'm loving it so far!

I find most 'leading ladies characters' in other cdramas become all boring, unfeeling & rigid, but Cang Hai is sweet , cute, loving, caring at the same time powerful and responsible. This is the kind of powerful female lead I love to see☺ I love the way she interacts with Chu Kong! It's so adorable & genuine 😍
As for Chu Kong, I think I'm in love with both the past version & present versions of Chu Kong😌☺.
And the past version of Chu Kong is quite carefree, charming, playful at the same time powerful. The present version of Chu Kong is wise, mature, dignified, but starting to get all charming & romantic after meeting the present version of Cang Hai☺
I'm really curious about the ending of this 'made for each other couple' after their seven lives tribulations are over. ☺
