whats with the doom mark and the heavenly emperor?
Maybe he could be the main bad guy. The doom mark could be hinting at that... They're yet to reveal what a doom mark is... I'm wondering who is the guy wearing a dark cloak shrouded in black smoke who wants to kill the male lead each time when he undergoes tribulation. Could he be the main bad guy? Or is he the heavenly king or are they both different bad guys?
I just binged watch this and honestly, iβm disappointed that the drama didnβt really follow the novel. The…
I think based on what I watched so far, the story of the drama has more depth, so the main characters can be taken more seriously. In the novel, there was lot of hilarity, but I felt real bad for the male lead in his first and last life as a mortal, and I didn't feel like taking the relationship of the main leads or their choices seriously. So I was apprehensive about this drama. But when I started watching it, I realized they deviated from the original story here & there, but in a good way. So I'm loving it so far.
They already did the misunderstanding trope with the Shifu and disciple tribulation - but it was less annoying…
Yes, me too. I liked how even though the female lead as a disciple, misunderstood her shifu, she still chose to stab him with the hairpin he gave her on a spot kn his body which didn't kill himπ π
normally in wuxia novels shifus are like that.....strict and firm
I see. But this time chukong has his memories with him... He could've been himself like the way he was when female lead stopped talking to him because she thought he did something to xiuming.
But I liked the shifu version roo.
It's just that when Chukong as Shifu became frustrated, he threw a big rock into the pondπ He was acting all petulant, unlike his usual composed, strict self. I have never seen shifus in other cdramas throw big rocks into a pond or throw down their alcohol bottles from a tree when they get frustrated with the female leads. πβΊ
But it was so cute π. I felt in those scenes, he was behaving more like Chukong & less like his shifu avatar. πβΊ
what do you guys think about immortal Li's fate ? where did he go ? did he really die ? I think he prepared all…
But I was wondering... Was immortal Li really suspicious of the heavenly emperor? If that were the case, why would he choose to go to the heavenly emperor to tattle on ChuKong's friend, xiuming? He should've avoided the heavenly king. He avoided heavenly king only after he got a hint that the king could be involved in something shady....
And when it comes to providing clues, unless immortal Li got some time after his visit to the heavenly king to prepare the clues in advance, how did he get time to prepare & insert all those clues in the upcoming tribulation of the main leads?
It seemed as if the heavenly king confronted immortal li within a short time after he sensed immortal Li's presence...
I'm puzzled as to when immortal Li got the time to leave clues because heavenly emperor seemed to have visited him shortly after...
So what happens in the final episode? Can anybody reveal it to me? Is it happy? Is it sad? Was wondering whether to give this drama a try if it's happy ending.
I feel real bad for the main female lead actress! π₯Ί
For me, her acting keeps improving as the episodes progress.
And she looks so cute too!

But again, this is my view based on my feelings.
Thanks for posting anyway.
Towards the end, what made her cry? Any idea?

I need to rewatch it!

This is the kind of ideal xianxia male lead I love to see!
