He’s gaslighting and guilt tripping QK real hard, even tho he really loves her or something but I can’t accept…
No matter what your intention was(sarcasm or whatever), I prefer to view your comment as a compliment.. I love to write as I please. I guess I'm a good writer 😝
He’s gaslighting and guilt tripping QK real hard, even tho he really loves her or something but I can’t accept…
I never asked you to reply to me in the first place! 😝 You invited yourself! Writing essays come naturally to me. Any problem? If u do, that's not my business. I will write as I see fit to my satisfaction. I didn't force anyone to read my comments. 😛 Actually, I prefer not to write replies to immature people who throw labels at others. 🧐🙃 I already explained why Chaofeng does what he does in detail. So, if I were in your place, I wouldn't jump to conclusions about a grey character "gaslighting" others. Also, even if this is true, just like you have the freedom to state your opinions about this character, I have the freedom to state my views & opinions about this character too! Take it or leave it. You needn't respond if you don't like.

rofl! You tend to give hasty responses. Just because you cherish the bond of the sisters( which is an admirable thing, btw), doesn't mean other characters like Chaofeng should get a pathetic or bad ending. It's a good thing you mentioned Yetan. Actually, I find Chaofeng and Yetan quite similar. Both are rebellious, decisive, and do what it takes to achieve their goals. Yetan's methods are gentler because her childhood environment though deprived, wasn't dangerous, barbaric and violent like that of Chaofeng's. Also, Yetan is luckier than Chaofeng. She has a few friends from other realms whereas Chaofeng has only few friends within the void realm. Also, Yetan lived in the mortal realm which though harsh, was never perilious like the void realm. In fact, Yetan can even leave the mortal realm (her home) via a prearranged marriage, and she'll even get a better status whereas Chaofeng has no marriage to hold on to, to escape his precarious situation, and get a better status. Yetan has at least 2 friends who are highly flexible and a steadfast, supportive sister. Chaofeng has no steadfast, supportive siblings or friends from outside the realm to help him out in his childhood. He has seen the hard ways, and learnt to be cruel because that's the only way he knows to stay afloat. Qingkui entered his life recently as a good chesspiece. Still, Chaofeng chooses to not just make use of her. Even though he is using her, she is still one of his top priorities.
I value character Chaofeng just as much as I value the character, Qingqui. And I don't want to see either of the characters reduced to a pathetic condition just in the name of retaining the sisters' bond. I prefer to see the plot unfold in a way where QINGKUI PROTECTS BOTH CHAOFENG AND YETAN. There's no need to destroy an interesting character like Chaofeng just to sustain the sisters' bond. The story can be written in other ways too.
Also, what you say about "not letting his ideas get to her morale" sound really funny. Couples always influence each other. That's how as part of the audience, we see Chaofeng compomise a bit here and there because he doesn't want to get into qingkui's bad books. One example of this is the apothecary scenario. He wants to stop qingkui, but he knows it'll make her unhappy. He promised to let her live freely within the void realm ( he's careful with his words) , and he keeps his promise even though this will bring problems. However, chaofeng is not a simp. So, he decides to use this opportunity in his favour too.
Another thing that I must point out here is I love Chaofeng character not only because he is really resourceful and skilled, but also because he really takes care of people who are there for him through thick and thin just like Yetan takes care of her two friends and sister who are there for her through thick and thin. So far, the drama hasn't revealed any scenarios where Qingkui is there for Chaofeng through thick and thin except for that particular scenario where she tries hard by selling jewelry to meet him in prison in order to heal him. Still, Chaofeng chooses to protect her even though Qingkui has only made choices which always hinder or slow down his plans or bring unwanted attention from his enemies. If he were truly evil, he could've suddenly changed colors, intimidated her, oppressed her and not accept her ideas like treating patients which will add unnecessary variables to his big overarching plans.
As for the word, "gaslighting" I never said you can't use it on him. Of course, everyone is free to use whatever words they like. But when you use this modern word, it sounds so inapt & out of place in this particular story, context, and world.
N. B: I think YOUR OPINIONS are BLINDED by your preference to see the sweet bond flourish between the twin sisters forever. Lol! In my case, yes, I love the character Chaofeng so much, but I also admire the sweet, strong bonding between the sisters! So, you are making a BIG ASSUMPTION when you say I'm letting my liking for Chaofeng blind my views! Because I don't think so! All I want to say is Chaofeng doesn't deserve a harsh, pathetic ending! My strong viewpoint: the sisters' sweet, sincere bonding can be sustained without destroying the happiness of the third prince character or eliminating him.
And I think based on what I saw in the trailers and teasers, this second couple, Chaofeng and qingkui most probably will never call it quits despite her stabbing him when he reveals the truth etc in future. I think Chaofeng also deserves a happy ending just like other main characters.
And for me, if all couples were the same goody-goody, no-complexities type, it'd be so boring! So I'm glad the producers inserted this second couple among other couples too, and I prefer a happy ending for all couples, including the 2nd main couple! And I too WANT the SWEET, SINCERE BOND BETWEEN the TWIN SISTERS SUSTAINED, but WITHOUT RUINING THIRD PRINCE, CHAOFENG!

I don't find anything wrong with Chaofeng. And I find it funny that you use words like 'gaslighting' which is more apt for usage in modern world. 😂 Chaofeng isn't gaslighting anyone. He is just securing his position & identity. If you should blame anyone, you need to blame the void tyrant & his queen for bringing up the three princes using such a parenting style. This kind of scenario reminds me of the in fighting among Mughals in the medieval period. Just because Chaofeng genuinely loves qingkui, doesn't mean he should lose his sense of self preservation. Qingkui never loses sight of her big noble goals just because she loves Chaofeng. Similarly Chaofeng cannot lose sight of his big goals just because he loves Qingkui. However, I think both of them will find a way to figure out things. This is hinted at in the trailers.
N. B: A strong female lead can also choose to love a character like Chaofeng. Loving and deciding to be with someone like him doesn't mean she's weak, because each character is unique in their own way in a story.
2nd couple become stagnant now even just for filling the times minute..i hope the 3rd prince scheming reveal very…
I think the third prince will start to compromise little by little for Qingkui & Qingkui might also start to understand his difficulties & points of view. The trailers & teasers hint at that...
That kiss was one of the most beautifully shot, romantic kisses I've seen in a xianxia. And the way he was preparing…
Yeah, I felt touched on watching that scene. I rewatched Fiery's kiss scene again and again! And I absolutely loved the piano bgm played in the background while that event happened...
The third couple dynamics is starting to get even more interesting. Their style of interaction is as good as that of the other two main couples! I just love the beast prince & his heavenly realm little princess pining for true love! I love this combination!
I love to write as I please.
