You know he survived because of the heart scale. Also as far as it is known, cuz obviously no alive Gods, we do…
It's not about the death or alive part that tormented me, but the decisive way in which Li Su Su betrayed Tantai in the novel, especially driving the soul piercing nails just when he was in the middle of rescuing her... It pained me tremendously while reading that part. Hope the drama people modified that scene and the reasons for which she did that in the drama otherwise I'm going to cry & cry if that scene is included as it is ditto without any changes... π’
The drama is real entertaining, but these episodes are getting too tormentous for meπ . As someone who read more than half of the novel, I wish the author rewrote the part where Li Su Su drives the soul killing nails /soul piercing nails into Tanjai Jin's heart. Maybe the author could've designed Li Su Su character in such a way that she chooses to use the siul piercing nails only to remove the evil bone without killing him or maiming him, and then chooses to live happily ever after with him. I hope they modify the huge betrayal part taken from the novel just like they modified Ming Ye's story in the drama. Still, the misunderstandings between Ming Ye & Sang Jiu are taking a toll on me. Maybe they should just communicate! Despite all my complaints, I can't believe I continue to watch this drama. Maybe because it's so entertaining π. I just hope they don't exactly follow all the cold, cruel, hopeless parts described in the novel, because if it does, I'm going to feel real bad for the main male lead & ming ye.
Still, I guess whether I like it or not, I will just stick till the end of this drama simply because I live the main male lead character. Sigh sigh...
Loved the dual cultivation scene in today's episode. They should have included some more of that! I badly want a happy ending for Ming Ye despite knowing that that's not how it is in the novel. Still, I wish the drama people modified the ending for Ming Ye & Sang Jiu just like Aranya's ending was modified in the eternal love of dream drama!
Someone said in novel it is mentioned tia jin and ye xi wu looked 80% similar to ming ye and sao jin
I already know what happened in the novel. I have been reading the novel. What I meant was what the main characters felt and after they left the dream can be interpreted more positively too. For example, in the latest BTS video, the producer/director drops a hint that the main leads get enlightened about love after they leave the dreamworld...
In the novel too, I don't think Su Su only thinks about her mission all the time otherwise she wouldn't go back & save Tantai Jin after he falls into the whirlpool containing zombies. Maybe she did it because she was afraid he'd die & get resurrected as the devil, but I think in the novel, at that point of time, after leaving the dream, she simply CHOSE to save him. She just didn't admit it to herself. The drama version is better because Li Su Su's feelings are made to appear less complicated , and more explicit and straightforward to both the viewers and Tantai Jin.
But I don't know how it'll be in future episodes. I like the drama version of the story a little bit more than the novel version of the plot so far because in the drama the heroine does feel something for the main male lead which was not that explicitly conveyed in the novel. However in the novel too, Li Su Su did feel something & hesitate especially in the scene where Li Su Su glances at the wedding veil with the Phoenix embroidered pattern on it before she leaves to rescue her grandmother. I guess that can be taken as a hint that she felt something. Also, towards the end, before she jumps from the tower, she tells Tantai Jin that she's sorry she drove the nails. That's another clue. I don't think Li Su Su left the dream with the resolve to focus on just her mission more. She was influenced by the dream, but unlike the drama version of her character, she never softens towards Tantai Jin and never admits to herself or realizes sooner that dhe also cares about Tantai Jin. Anyway this is my interpretation baded on what I read in the novel so far --- uptill the jumping the tower scene.
You will see it after the dream sequence because the nails she will pierce in his body will only get build when…
I already know about all that. I have been reading the novel. I also saw that clip in the trailer. I'm referring to the drama. I just wish Li Su Su softened towards Tantai Jin a bit more. If a devil like him can soften towards Li Su Su, why can't she? Sometimes I feel her harsh, cold, tough approach towards Tantai Jin will only push him more to the evil side...
In the novel, their scenes of loving each other are so less. But I wish the directors have altered the script…
I have been reading the novel, and I know the novel version of Li Su Su doesn't shower that much love on Tantai Jin. Instead she keeps irritating him --- pushing him to his limits. I hope they tone down on that part in the drama version.
Now when I think about it, personally, I want to see Tantai Jin & Li Su Su in love with each other & be all lovey-dovey just like Ming Ye & Sang Jiu. I don't want to see Li Su Su bicker & push away Tantai Jin all the time even though I know her reasons for doing so. But I like the fact that Tantai Jin is starting to not push away Li Su Su anymore. Maybe Li Su Su should take a cue.

Appreciate your interesting interpretation, but I think what happened in the dreamworld in the novel can be interpreted in other ways too. I don't know how it'll be in the drama...
So, in ep 12, they're dreaming about their past life right? So tantai jin's past is god of war?
In the novel, ming ye is not tantai jin's past life. As for the drama, we'll have to watch the follow up episodes to find out. Maybe the drama won't deviate from the novel when it comes to these aspects of the plot.
I saw some clips on weibo n youtube when the previous devil god open his mask, itβs another TTJ so i think that…
Interesting. I was also reminded of Aranya's dreamworld. And I too wondered whether the first devil god in the dream world is one & the same as the second devil god(tantai jin).... But the build and eyes of the actor portraying the first devil god in ming ye's world looks a bit different from the main actor who portrays the second devil god in the 1st episode. But then I did see the scene in the trailer that you mentioned. .. Guess we'll have to wait & find out...

In the novel Tantai Jin & Su Su are chosen to relive the lives of Ming Ye & Sang Jiu because they share some similarities with these two characters who lived long ago, so yes I guess what they say is right. Still, in the novel, they just enter a dream and vicariously experience relive the lives of those characters but they are not one and the same. I don't know whether they'll tweak the story in the drama version. Maybe they might not considering the fact that it is mentioned beforehand that they'll be just experiencing everything like avatars entering a dream...
I know in the novel, Ming Ye & Tantai Jin are two different entities, but hoping against hope that in this drama Tantai Jin & Ming Ye are one and the same like both being two fragments of a soul etc or something akin to that because for me making Ming Ye's love story & divinity history as part of Tantai Jin's previous past life --- that idea is quite tantalising! π
I don't find anything wrong with Tantai Jin at all. He just hurt people who hurt him or planned to kill him. Maybe Li Su Su should try to understand why Tantai Jin keeps trying to get to the dark side. He does that so that he can get power & be invincible and thus not suffer in perpetuity. The heroine doesn't seem to understand this fact & keeps pushing him by calling him ungrateful. I think the male lead is sufficiently nice to people who are nice to him. Maybe the heroine should try to understand him more and try to save him using the friendly, soft approach. Anyway, I shall keep watching this drama simply for the main male lead, Tantai Jin. He makes the whole drama worthwhile to watch. Another thing I really, really don't understand is why is Tantai Jin attracted to Li Su Su. As far as I can see, though she's been kind to him, it has not been unconditional kindness so far. Also, she's a bit rough towards him. I admire the main male lead's patience to put up with a woman like her! I wonder what Tantai Jin saw in Li Su Su. He must be crazy to fall for a woman like her who will give up on him the moment he turns dark to defend himself. I think Tantai Jin's feelings for Li Su Su is deeper and more unconditional than the other way round. And people, including the lead heroine keeps misunderstanding him as a bad guy just because he wants to protect himself. I think the main male lead deserves a friend or follower who can truly understand his sufferings and pain instead of conditionally helping him.
Hope at least the ending is happy for the main male lead. He's suffering a lot! And nobody seems to be there for him.
It isn't completely clear to me...
Hope the drama people modified that scene and the reasons for which she did that in the drama otherwise I'm going to cry & cry if that scene is included as it is ditto without any changes... π’
How does that happen?
Didn't he die?
Or could it be that his consciousness still lingers jn the dream...
That scene was beautiful to watch!
