this is so much better than most formulaic xianxias with one-dimensional characters and extremely contrived plots which downplay the intelligence of the viewers. I don't know exactly what sets this drama apart, but i feel its less cringey than other cdramas? Besides the FL's voice (which i feel is just a bit too childish for my taste; i understand it's dubbed by the actress) this drama is entertaining and quickly-paced. deserves a 8.7 rating atleast!
