He does seem like an obvious villain but i think the wife is the main villain . That's my hunch

Definitely worth the watch, Im glad i came across this drama. Beautiful set and cinematography. The ML acting took me by surprise since im used to seeing him in noble and nice guy roles but wow ! total transformation. This dramas was a good action/thriller/mystery. Although different it kind of reminds me of " the longest day in chang'an " drama (also recommended).

Despite others comments on the Romance, i dont see how it ruined the drama. If anything what really made this drama a 8.2 is the entire Liu Family. Just fast forward them.

Yeah i ment to put this in my mini rant lol. Her mother was really wrong in rejecting her like that, although i did understand her reasons, she could of held her composure and really explained to yuehua.

She'd be alright if she was more humble after her obvious failures and kindness showed by FL

Speaking of the 2ML, i kind of wish 2ML & Fl would have more interactions together. I know they wont get together but i was kind of rooting for him after that flash back of him observing her while she was tucked away in the house.

Really because i felt bad for ZiJin dedicating her whole life to serve one person like a ready made wife. I like the ML but id like to live my own life

I dont like yuehua at all , i was hoping maybe she might be a friend to the FL but now that she showed her true self the only thing i hope for her is to get kicked out the palace. I forgot the name of the Matron ? That sacrificed her self earlier for Hu but she hit the nail on the head about yuehua ,when all of them entered into the palace - She thinks too highly of herself.

Her character just annoys me when she trys to desperately stand out and beat the FL. Each time it backfires, you'd think she'd give up but no she continues on. Playing sugar baby to the emperor to get promoted and walking around like she did something 🤡.
After episode 24 , i dont even ship her with the 2ML , not like he has any real feelings for her at this point besides using her to accomplish his plans.

Yes plotwise I agree, since im caught up its starting to lose its appeal to me, for me there is no driver in the plot as of yet. Maybe ill see that in the future.
