just finished watching ep 16 again! can't let go of this drama just yet. still in disbelief that we already reached the end. the last time I became obssessed over a drama like this was during business proposal days. and to think that Business Proposal is also a Mon-Tues drama, Shin Hari and Im Sol's mom is the same actress, and ended on a cherry blossom proposal scene too! i don't know how i'll be able to deal with this separation yet again😭
but then, i am so grateful that this is the last kdrama I watched before I temporarily leave kdramaland. starting June, I'll be focusing on my board exam review to get my professional license. thank you, Lovely Runner for the sweet ending. I hope my review ends sweetly too with me passing the exam. 🤭🥲💛
it's finally the end of it🥲 no more dopamine dose every manic Monday and Tuesday😭i was kinda surprised with how simple the ending was. we were racking our brains with theories but, the complication is all in our heads all along. the way the drama wrapped up is a bit underwhelming, but I'll never forget the happiness it brought me over the past 8 weeks. i will miss you Sunjae and Sol! 💛
same, but for a different reason. Lovely Runner is especially precious to me because this will probably be my last before I temporarily leave Kdramaland. I will be reviewing for the CPA board exam starting June sooo... 🥹
i dunno if someone already said this here, but i read a theory that when Sunjae died while saving Im Sol on the 2009 timeline, when Sol used the new time machine watch still worn by (dead) Sunjae, not only Sol but also Sunjae went back to the past - i.e., before their first meeting. they said while Sol purposely turned back not to meet Sunjae, Sunjae also pretended not to see so she won't feel guilty anymore😭 and then Sol was the first one to get back to present (2023) at 34 y/o (just like her house number), meeting the present Sunjae who doesn't know her. Time traveler Sunjae who remembers all memories with Sol will then go back in 2024 at 35 y/o (like his house number). probably on 1/1/2024? coz we know in Korea, they turn 1 year older every New Year's day.
i know we will know everything next week but i'm kinda, sorta believing this for now for the sake of my sanity. hahaha!
after watching today's ep, i believe grandma indeed got something to do with the time travel thing
also, when sol time travelled again for the last time, it probably took her a while before going back to present. she was aware when they moved houses, and that can't be as soon as sunjae and his dad moved to the house across hers. sunjae's dad and grandma even had interactions. perhaps she just avoided sunjae during this period. if that's the case, then wow. that must've been hard.
as for taesung, looks like sol still pushed through with the agenda of making him turn over a new leaf in the past that's why there's still the memory of sol taking the cigarettes from the bullies and that they remained friends through the years. taesung wouldn't be interested if it's not the present sol he's interacting with.
then the abduction of sol probably never happened in the past as well because sol's fam moved.
still can't make sense of the others, but at least here are the things i'm getting. i seriously don't know at this point how this drama will wrap up, but I have high hopes for a happy ending.
i seriously hope the writer don't insert the amnesia trope here, else, i'll get traumatized. what i'm thinking is that, probably Sunjae is still on coma when Sol gets back to present since Sunjae's choice in the past never changed - i.e., to save Sol - so it makes sense for the taxi driver to still go after him in the present. this still sucks, but yeah, i'll be more accepting of this than Sunjae getting amnesia
I am starting to get obssessed with this drama. Right now, what I would like to understand is why Hyunwoo and Haein drifted apart. Too early to tell, but the only reason I had in mind is when they lost their baby (I could be wrong though). During Hyunwoo's talk with the psychologist, most of his marriage complaints are about his in-laws asking him to do dirty works, and his resentment only grew because of Haein's indifference on how her family treats him, which we now know is not true because Haein cares for him a lot. She's just very bad at expressing her feelings and happens to stand up for him when he's not around, and that's probably why he never knew. But aren't they very open and expressive on how much they love each other before? I really wonder what led to the change in their relationship.
Still, I can't justify the fact that Hyunwoo became initially happy to know that Haein is terminally ill.

but upon seeing the next ep's preview, looks like I don't have to worry haha
