Now that I think about it, Xue Qian Xun and Qing Qing have to be a part and separated for 1000+ years just to get that happy ending, and I'm glad it's a happy ending for them, where their curse is broken, because they definitely deserves to be happy.
But Xue Qian Xun back story made me think that he never died back then, it was said that he used up his powers to save the past Xiao Qing(now Qing Qing) from falling into the black vortex(i think if she did, her soul will be shattered and wont be able to be reborn), and then it was said afterwards, his past memories was erased(forgotten), and his 'name changed to' Xue Qian Xun (Lord of Luofeng Pavillion).
Same here. I feel like the main leads stories are the same plot over and over and over and over and over and ...…
I hope that XQX and QQ will get their happy ending, because they've been through so much in their past, don't want them to suffer again. But it is nice to know that I am not the only one who is watching it for them
Same three lol. The main couple is such snoozefest! XQX really brings this drama up with his acting (he’s superior…
I downloaded this drama episodes, and saved on my phone, so when I watch it, there's a way to fast forward the scenes, so I don't need to miss any on Xie Qian Xun (XQX) (the 2nd ML), when he's in it, I will watch, even if he's in the scenes with the Long Yan (ML) LOLOL, but I mainly enjoy the scenes between XQX with the Qing Qing (QQ)(2nd FL) because I like their chemistry, and I am most interested in finding out their back story, episode 30, it shows that XQX was also a bird in the past (from that flashback) where they were holding hands and then both changed into their bird form, and XQX even made a comment saying that "In that memory of me and QQ, even though right now I am different" <- I am thinking he is referring to how his identity of their past, but before all this, he told her that he wanted her to study hard and ascend to being an immortal because he wants to live a long life-span with her together, and he told her that the moment she ascends and become an immortal, he will marry her. Oh man, I really hope they will get a happy ending, because their past was so tragic T.T from the looks of things. I don't mind angst, as long as it comes a happy ending for my ship in the end.
I feel like I am watching this drama for the second leading couple (Xie Qian Xun and Qing Qing), because their story/relationship appeals to me more LOLOLOL. I am getting tired of the multiple reincarnations of the FL (Liu Ying) that I ended up fast forwarding their scenes on my end
We ended up skipping most of this, second ML and the support characters you mentioned were the only characters…
Thanks for commenting, and yeah, the second ML (Run Yu) and the side characters (Mu Ci and Liu Ying) are the only one's worth watching. I can't stand the FL (Jin Mi) for all said, because her character is terribly written IMO.
Thank you so much for your insight comparing the novel to the drama. You help plug a few of the holes I find here…
You're very welcome, and I'm glad it helps you understand certain things better :) If you have a chance, you should check out the novel, because it's really good too :)
Hey! i came across your comment recently, I wanna ask if you have any idea in which clip/video that xiao zhan…
Hi BlueEnigma, Sorry for the late reply, as I don't log into this site often, and I just saw your comment today.
To answer your question about that quote: "In the end, he's still smiling because the light he has been waiting for has finally arrived" <- this was written by Xiao Zhan in his Weibo, when he was writing about his character portrayal (Wei Wuxian) in CQL.
This was Xiao Zhan's 'indirect way' of reassuring his fans that Lan Zhan did returned to him at the very end. It was referencing to the very final scene of the drama when Wei Ying stopped playing his song on the mountain; because he heard someone called out his name, and when he turned around he smiled so brightly, it's because Lan Zhan (the light), he's been waiting for has finally arrived.
The ending was done in a very very subtle way, but what Xiao Zhan said in his Weibo was very thoughtful and considerate which shows that he truly understands Wei Ying's character deeply, and that is why he made that comment, as an indirect way to say that Wei Ying is still smiling (like that) at the end is because Lan Zhan (the light), has returned to him <3 And that's the true, ambiguous ending, playing with subtleties here, so we should thank Xiao Zhan for this :)
