What kept people and made the rating high is the quality of the drama, the intrigue, and the acting. This is a slow burn drama, so romance will come when it has to come.

She would do anything to get what she wants, including seduction. She did so in the scene we saw. However, he didn’t succumb to her cos he knew his cousin Yan Lin laid with her (every other night) and she liked Zhang Zhe. Plus, we can’t forget his dislike for her ways. Fast-forward to some time later, and the rebellion happened. At that time ZZ was in prison, prolly thinking she had to use her life to repay ZZ, she killed herself.

You also have to keep in mind that many of the things happening in this second life happen faster. Like the death of ZZ mother and the princess's marriage.

I like how the punch them to sleep seems ridiculous, but I don't feel it cos that man is built to destroy. He legit looks like a bulldozer, so it makes it very believable that, 'he literally destroys the willpower of a fighting opponent.'

These writers love to add unnecessary characters to prolong the issue. I would have loved them to make the person who make the ML jealous, Yu You. However, they could have done it in a way that it is unintentional, since he is very comfy with ZSY. No! They decided to move mad. Yi Yang is just too annoying, I can't even take him seriously.

You don’t have to say it, we know this. It is good that many of their grievances are towards the director and screenwriters who wasted the potential of all the actors.

Girl she did tell you and even stayed with you but you have no idea? Shan Shan that always knew what to do, all of a sudden had no idea what to do. Ridiculous...I don't even know why they made Guan Ji pin for her so much while she did practically nothing for the relationship.
